Doctors will keep giving you drugs regardless if it appears you haven't studied and tried
to rectify any issues in your own time ,most Doctors appreciate folk trying to find a natural remedy however sceptical they are ..but they will not just leave things to chance Not sure about that that. I think most doctors would preferred you listened to them as they are being consulted and in any case they don't always automatically throw out pills to people as it comes of their budget My Doctor is pretty good , I listen to him and most what he says is pretty good advice, he is one of these who tells people to get out in the sunshine and avoid stress lol ...he is quite up on self help and not keen to just hand out meds ...but obviously does if needed . He did say to cut back a little on the alcohol and sat fats though ![]() |

Apparently diet induced, any fellow suffers ? Tips on how to get rid, don't really want to take yet another pill to stay alive. All a bit upsetting, bought myself a large bag of Malteasers last night to console myself Plain This was the OP. Guy asking for advice. Since then the thread has descended into a name calling feud between well established enemies. Well done lads. No wonder the OP left the scene confused ![]() ![]() |

It's 2018 and STUDYFORM has human physiology down to 'What's heavier a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers?'
crystalhunt please keep up From Denzil dan if you'd took the original advice you could've been 1/2 a stone lighter (at least) and on your way like I was,do yourself a favour and kick on you won't regret it. ufcdan • October 17, 2018 6:11 PM BST It's in hand Denzil CoolWink |

Denzil, there is nothing wrong with the answers I wrote.
YOU are way off the mark. As well as my experience and knowledge, is that of my partner, a highly qualified medical professional, and then there's generally accepted fact. If No1 is wrong, What the F do you think happens to excess F'ing calories you don't use? That's YOU, not some clown of the internet you happen to be praying to. Crystal, if ufcdan chooses to ignore the followers of a preacher and take notice of someone with experience of the disease and who chooses to dispute the denzil/crippen DIY wrongness crap, then all he needs to know is here and with his GP. |

STUDY pretend 4 people have a base/maintenance calorie rate as the term goes is 2500.
For arguments sake persons a,b,c,d For 1 month all shall consume 2500 calories but Person A shall consume 90% protein 5% fat 5% carbs Person B shall consume 90% fat 5% carbs 5% protein Person C shall consume 90% carbs 5% fat 5% protein Person D shall consume 33.33% protein/carbs/fat All taking in the same amount of water and getting the same sleep by your theory at the end of the month all 4 should weigh the same. Reality says all 4 will look completely different and be of varying weights. |

By:
|
|
By:
no one is arguing that they wouldn't weigh the same Denzil ...but long term they wouldn't be putting on excess weight ...some may lose weight more than others because of those ratios
|
|
By:
STUDY aside from all this I've done it myself,I record and weigh all foods/drinks consumed accurately along with all activities feelings and lots of weighing,I know for a fact what I'm saying is correct.
|

Yes - but you aren't a diabetes sufferer and the reason isn't that you follow any kind of diet.

I'm definite they all would weigh differently.

My initial response to you was, as it is now.
That diabetes cannot be cured by diet. Nor can Psoriasis. PRE DIABETES can mean that they "Think" diabetes is in the offing for someone - because the numbers have been altered by the NHS. This, can usually be held off by weight loss and sensible diet. And now I've come full circle. There are NO OTHER WAYS I CAN SAY IT. As for your 4 person thing. In a very low carb diet, yes you can have extra calories, and still lose weight. BUT THIS ISN'T A CURE FOR DIABETES 90% protein would not be at all good for anyone - and could cause serious issues- The other 2 are FAD diets - not natural and not good for anyone. ALL of them are damaging in the long term and fad diets nearly always cause a rebound effect - more weight gained than lost, once finished. This thread was about diabetes, not what you might be persuaded is a "good" diet to try. There's now probably too much to read, but I am as certain as I was to start with that you and crippen are not right. Anyone wishing to arbitrate? there's a bit of reading to do, but feel free. |

By:
Denzil ,i hope it's short term for you or you'll be spending all of next year on the toilet
...as Studyform says, there can be rebound effects from diets that aren't balanced ...not saying they're all bad ... but for someone not trying to lose weight a balanced diet seems the best bet . If the weights going and youre seeing results , then that's all good . |
|
By:
STUDY Nobody said anything about a cure for diabetes with the experiment I put up,that was to simply disprove your calories in/out theory.
The 90% carbs 5% fat 5% protein diet is an extremely healthy long term sustainable diet for everyone,in fact 90% carbs 7% protein 3% fat roughly would be ideal. Type 2 diabetes can be cured by a starch/plant based diet you should give it a try obviously you aren't going to move on that but surely with your conditions it'd be worth a try. |
|
By:
As for you crippen, you still think that because a few people write books on something it must be true.... even vanity projects.
It's why you think we never went to the moon. A thread about diabetes. And all some people want to do is prove they have studied diets that work for them. And they have the answer to all ills. Perhaps you could get a wagon and trawl the deserts of the USA selling your tonic. That's what your doctors are doing online. |

NO IT CAN'T - FACT Do you think everyone in the medical profession is in a conspiracy to hide something so obvious? And that this couldn't have been realised 100's of years ago? FFS!!!!! |

You keep reciting the "teachings" of the con-man McDougall. I choose to believe the rest of the world. |

As for you crippen, you still think that because a few people write books on something it must be true
How can that be true when I've presented two sides to the argument? But STUDYFORM, you knowingly write stuff that's untrue on purpose, so what does that make you? |
|
By:
OK - I'll humour you.
One example of a deliberate lie from me....EVER. |

''Here's a video that will muddy the waters to the point of frustration for those who haven't yet decided which camp to join. It's presented by Professor Tim Noakes, who has qualifications coming out of his ears. But no doubt considered just another quack by the fool STUDYFORM.'' Prof Noakes has published more than 750 scientific books and articles. He has been cited more than 16 000 times in scientific literature, has an H-index of 71 and has been rated an A1 scientist by the National Research Foundation of South Africa for a second 5-year term. He has won numerous awards over the years and made himself available on many editorial boards. He promotes a high fat diet for optimum health, which is the exact opposite of DR McDougall's teachings. |

Not a deliberate lie at all. I just couldn't be bothered to read any more BS that you were typing.
So you seem to be saying you were wrong with all the McDougall crap? And you've replaced it with Noakes crap? You did clearly say this: Dr Crippen • October 13, 2018 11:50 AM BST I'm afraid STUDYFORM's knowledge of the treatment for diabetes is entrenched in the conventional medical wisdom that protects our food industry and pharmaceuticals industry, and that is the problem. I won't go so far as to say criminal but it's close. That's if you think that pushing products that are known to make people ill isn't criminal. And keeping them sick just to make profits for drug manufacturers isn't either. Either way it's about a new and secret way to beat a disease that 100's of millions of people have and only YOU and Denzil can tell everyone about this amazing discovery. But. I have lied about nothing. and you're still an idiot. |
