one of the 17 million can produce an idea to help out may, who of course voted against...
|

May was pathetic. Dramatic tine of voice and stares into camera . Utter garbage.
All about her ego. She's toast. The most inept and clueless PM this country as ever had. Why pretend with the histrionics, it was always going to end badly. |

donny, we could have taken the eea/efta route and unilaterally invoked article 112 to stop immigration as leichtenstein did. all a bit late now, i fear we are crashing out without a deal and that will be a disaster.

There will be a ' People's Vote / 2nd Referendum . The result of which will mean we stay in the EU. Which is just as well.

may has ruled out a peoples vote as she knows it would destroy conservative party
|
|
By:
If there were to be a 2nd referendum it probably would go the way of 'remain' .
Many of the 17 million that returned a majority 'leave' result would change their vote to 'remain' out of weariness from all the squabbling . A vast majority of british citizens are ordinary , peace loving folk , who are probably tired of being branded as racists by the remainers (a label and a slur which is almost certainly NOT accurate) and would wave the white flag at the first opportunity in favour of the bullies . Not unlike the recent cartoon depicting Serena Williams throwing a tantrum and the umpire in the background telling her opponent to 'let her win' !!! ![]() |

they did it with ireland and denmark

donny, we could have taken the eea/efta route and unilaterally invoked article 112 to stop immigration as leichtenstein did. ^ We got another one. Every few weeks we get this nonsense about controlling immigration. Explain why they happened: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/homeless-eu-citizens-deporting-illegal-policy-home-office-high-court-ruling-brexit-stop-a8110001.html |

The European Union and its leaders fully respect the UK’s decision expressed in the referendum on leaving the EU. From the very beginning of the negotiations we have been focused on finding a deal that will minimise the damage resulting from Brexit. Also important to us is to create the best possible relations between the EU and the UK in the future. We studied the Chequers proposals in all seriousness. The results of our analysis have been known to the British side in every detail for many weeks. After intensive consultations with Member States, we decided that for the good of the negotiations, and out of respect for the efforts of PM May, we will treat the Chequers plan as a step in the right direction. In Salzburg, right before our meeting I said in a public statement: “I would like to stress that some of Prime Minister May's proposals from Chequers indicate a positive evolution in the UK's approach as well as a will to minimise the negative effects of Brexit. By this I mean, among other things, the readiness to cooperate closely in the area of security and foreign policy. On other issues, such as the Irish question, or the rules of economic cooperation, the UK's proposals will need to be reworked and further negotiated.” The UK stance presented just before and during the Salzburg meeting was surprisingly tough and in fact uncompromising. The response of the EU27 leaders was to reiterate our trust in chief negotiator Michel Barnier and to reiterate our position on the integrity of the Single Market and the Irish backstop. While understanding the logic of the negotiations, I remain convinced that a compromise, good for all, is still possible. I say these words as a close friend of the UK and a true admirer of PM May.

trader, you've got some front. you tried on the wto thread to knock the eea/efta option but ran away when i pointed out that you had just made sh1t up, its what you do all the time. get back on that thread and answer my points.
you are quoting a court case that has no relevance to article 112 whatsoever. you are just posting tripe again. |

Kenny the EU is behaving like a wife beater. 'I love you but if you leave me I'll damage you and the kids'

I understand how you feel saddo..bottom line we were holding a pair of threes against a royal flush.

Jolly read about article 112 on some obscure forum and thought an 'emergency break' could stop millions of people coming to our country.
They are EU citizens. If they get a low paid job within six weeks how can we get rid of them? I have had this discussion with so many chancers on here claiming the 112 option... None of them have explained how we get rid of the low paid workers. |
|
By:
And just for clarity..if our friends wanted to mess us they certainly could..only because we gave them the opportunity.

"The Peoples Vote" is a busted flush.
It needs a plumber to fix it but ironically all the polish ones are going home due to remoaner scaremongering ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Was out all day so just watched TMs speech.
Excellent and about time. If the EU continue to act like they have throughout we should simply list our conditions for leaving and present it as a last resort before walking with no deal. BTW let the EU erect and operate an Irish border and see how that goes. |

What I liked about it is that she finally seems p1ssed off and angry and seems to be getting a bit of steel and backbone in her.
If you do a lot of work and put if forward and someone casually waves it away and says "not good enough" without a reason and puts nothing constructive in response when a clock is ticking, anyone in any walk of life would be p1ssed off. I don't think the EU gets it. I'm not saying Chequers is the best deal, I'm saying the EU would have waved away ANY deal that wasn't grovelling then bending over and letting them hump us. |

Its all a front and part of the act played out to the minions hoping we will be happy, late deals a nap.
