The Jews are noted as good scientists , we can all name them
By:
Could we name a Muslim scientist ? no
That tells you a lot right there |
By:
so I suggest the mightymac stops talking rubbish
By:
To produce a scientist I suppose it’s a question of the genetics and the society , both influence each other and religion plays it’s part
By:
I'm guessing that the more generations they get into marrying their first cousins, the less scientists-or owt else which requires a good IQ- they will produce per capita.
By:
I didn’t want to spell that out saddo

He was a convert to Islam and was therefore a Muslim.
If it was the other way round and he'd converted from Islam he possibly wouldn't have lived long enough to achieve whatever it was he went on to achieve ! |

The world would be a better place if we got rid of all the religious fanatics and rampant atheists. Forcing their views and ideologies on everyone.

100% true Reynard. All religious fanatics are nuts. They all have one common denominator , they believe in imaginary entities whose existence are highly improbable . Do you have a list of 'Rampant Athiests' ? ![]() |

I have reached the conclusion that Islam takes backward people

Off topic big time. Faith isn't the issue. The state allowing faith to be taught is.
All children should be educated not indoctrinated |
By:
Look how the thread went from Faith schools to full time Islam bashing.
That's why politicians today love Islam. Its the easiest thing to get all the sheep in line. |
By:
LOL detr on the subject of religion you find the people NOT being taught to believe, with no evidence, about angelic sky pixies, eternity in paradise, pokers up the bum, bearded men on clouds, as "the sheep" :)
By:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 100%

Traveller there is only one Religion that has certain members that want to rule the world ? and thinks that anyone who does not follow the tripe written about a bearded pedo , are scum .
No religion should be taught to Children until a certain age, but unfortunately a Child is involved with its parents from birth ,Certain parents and I am not referring to one group, think it right to brainwash their children ... Basically because that is what happened to them . |
By:
My main issue isn't with Islam or Christianity or Buddah or whatever it's that the religion divides us.
Education brings us together |

The thing with religion is that you aren't religious enough if you aren't making your kids follow the same religion. Making them follow exactly the things you believe in. That's how religions are. I doubt there's any person telling his kid son, you'll burn in hell for this but go ahead.
Banning faith schools won't stop children being forced into their parents' religion. Everyone will grow up the same, but probably start thinking for themselves at a much earlier age, thats the only benefit I see. When religion bosses see this, they will get their act together and come up with a way to educate people about religion. And faith schools will be reborn, by another name, suiting the conditions of that particular time period. That's probably how faith schools came into being in the first place. |

If they want to go to Sunday school or Friday night payers no probs.
Monday to Friday is learning useful stuff. I'm from Aberdeen but I lived in Glasgow for a few years. I used to rant about their segregated education system. They are so used to it they can't see it. As an outsider I was thinking it was total insanity |
By:
northanlite if you are worried about children learning useful stuff then why do you think parents are pretending to be religious in order to get their children into a good CofE or catholic school
By:
I'm glad you seem to agree that it's a ridiculous situation.
By:
I’m not agreeing , just saying your point about worrying about being taught useful stuff doesnt make sense if parents ( religious and not ) want tell little fibs in order to get their children into these schools
By:
i know it's a crazy system. I'm glad we are agreed on that
By:
I am not saying I agree with the system or not , I am saying your arguments against it are flawed
By:
You never explained why Glasgow was different to Aberdeen either
