Don't believe everything the papers, or Corbyn, tells you.

4 months on and we've still been provided with zero proof, almost like those tapes we're told exist on Trump/Cohen, we just aren't allowed to listen? even though they've had them for 6 months

Only enough proof to satisfy the various agencies involved but, alas, not cc.
![]() |
By:
Of course that's not enough. A CC spy would never send a message on the success of his mission. It is assumed that he will be successful. Only in case of something going wrong would he use the communication channel, ensuring it is used only in case of need, so that there are less chances of the comm channel being compromised.
I am assuming Russians train their agents at a similar standard and so a message 'package has been delivered' seems total bollox to me. If the mission is successful, the world will know anyways. |

Two Russian nationals named as suspects

Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov
Russian Foreign Office say the names and photographs of the men “ do not mean anything to Moscow “ The men are thought to have been using the names as aliases |

Russian Foreign Office say the names and photographs of the men
“ do not mean anything to Moscow “ Possibly because this whole episode has nothing to do with Moscow ![]() |

ugly looking mugshots , look like Russians to me

I like this comment on twitter:
![]() "One of the more remarkable things about today's Salisbury briefing is that the two alleged Russian hitmen relied on a Sunday rail service to get them from Waterloo to Salisbury and then out again to Heathrow in one day. No sane Brit would have tried such an outlandish gamble." |
By:
The public generally buys anything you feed them, especially if it touches their anti russian sentiment. I don't understand why the govt even needs to investigate this further. They already said Russia was behind it and no one asked them for proof, not even Russia. They'll mess it up trying to convince everyone that Russia was indeed behind this.
By:
A British court can decide that , that’s fine
By:
ok

By:
You’re welcome

Very impressed with investigators, and how they identified these 2 suspects and got their timeline (mainly with CCTV), and enough evidence to charge them.
By:
Indeed it is impressive. But London had a camera for every 4 people 12 years ago. Should be even better now. Its still mind boggling that they couldn't catch that jogger who pushed a woman under the bus on a bridge.

By:
By:
By the way, if these two made it back to Russia, they are probably already dead. If Putin really ordered this, these two ain't alive.
By:
We gave no name for the jogger detraveller
When we do he can go to court as well |
By:
That’s why we suspect Russia and Putin
That’s the sort of thing he is capable of |
By:
That’s only guesswork on your part detraveller , but it’s helpful non the less
Thanks |
By:
By:
Oh well detraveller doesn’t seem to have a clue after all
By:
What I don't understand is the Russian say they don't know who these men are (well yes maybe they would say that) but then say lets us work with the British Government as it has nothing to do with Russia but our Government refuse, why would we do that?
By:
Terry , the only way Putin can help is by sending these two men to Britain
And the two men that Britain named in the litvenko case as well Understand , we can’t waste time listening to Putins fairy stories |
By:
Now you see that would be helpful
Anything else is not |
By:
If he wishes to extradite these 4 men , and help as well
So much the better But I can assure you if he doesn’t extradite then he won’t be helping either , in any way |
By:
As the Russian are saying it was nothing to do with them,i think its most unlikely to put it mildly that Putin will do that
By:
Russia does not extradite it's citizens.
By:
Yes , I think we’re all aware of that
By:
Not even if they are wanted for murder , I believe a request went in in the litvenko case however
