Dave,

NDAs can stop people disclosing private information. But not criminal acts.

There is no problem with the Nda and no difficulty finding free legal advice

but just in case your confused every national newspaper,s front page today has a photo of our woman PM shaking hands ,fawning all over supposed serial groper, sexist, racist Donald trump, and just like the women at this agency all in the aid of putting money before any so called  feminist morals,

yes,you rea;lly couldn't make it up,imagine the outrage if this agency was run by a man

It's very simple , run the event again next year and see if anyone applies to work there or not
Some of the woman might want to and even some men
What's wrong with that ?

Whether or not something is covered by an NDA is not important.  What is important is whether a young woman is going to risk getting involved with lawyers and hassle and being told she won't be believed.  This is how rich and powerful abusers have always worked.

My daughter is in her 20s, works for herself and can look after herself home or abroad. Do you think all women are pathetic creatures dave, or just a lot of them?

Dave, seriously? Have you followed the story? Are you saying the women will not be believed if they have evidence/witnesses?

So saddo thinks that abused women are "pathetic creatures" - interesting, but not surprising.

It doesnt need to be televised , as long as it is recorded
That seems to be a good solution and would mean possibly thousands of pounds for charity

350 cameras might knock a hole in charity money

it turned over 600k a few years back and showed a profit of about 10k for charity

the running costs may need some scrutiny,

As for the groping, a slap and an angry glare should do the trick there. If it doesn't then involve security to throw him out or something. No need to stop these kind of fun nights from taking place because of a few bad behaviors.

That's what I mean when I say they're oppressed. People are being stopped from having fun because of one reporter and a few allegations of bad behavior. They start throwing oppressive legislation at us using incidents like these as a feeble excuse. Legislation which is trillions times worse for society than the incident.

well it's their money , they don't have to give any of it to charity

Dave, I think the idea that young women need a load of puffed up middle aged men fighting on their behalf is a bit outdated. I gather many of the women from this agency are models and actresses who work sporadically and use these events to bolster their wages. They know exactly what to expect and have every right to take the work. As far as I can see, everyone loses from this non news story.

ideed they do not, nobody can disagre with that

but if the event is marketed as being a charity fundraiser they may wish to rethink

I would recommend at the next event at the same venue that they hire professionals

should charitys set up escort agencys?
By:
lfc1971
When: 26 Jan 18 10:44
no need , they already exist so it's not a problem
By:
donny osmond
When: 26 Jan 18 10:46
maybe the event organiser should have used an escort agency instead of an agency
that was recruiting waitresses

Latest on this type of story:

Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck has pulled out of this year's Academy Awards, his publicist has confirmed.

By tradition, Affleck - who won best actor for Manchester By The Sea in 2017 - would have been expected to present the best actress award this year.

The actor, brother of Hollywood star Ben Affleck, was sued by two female crew members for alleged sexual harassment in 2010.

He denies the allegations, and the lawsuits were settled out of court.

An Oscars spokeswoman confirmed that Affleck would not attend, saying: "We appreciate the decision to keep the focus on the show and on the great work of this year."

I wish the snowflakes would put there concern on addressing why only about 5%-7% of rapes reported to police end in convictions rather than the latest trendy story.

There is a massive problem around the globe of abuse.

Some absolute callousness in this thread. All too believable really from the usual suspects.

I think people need to spend some time and really consider the actual victims in this.

Not the waitresses obviously. As described they knew what they were attending and what kind of banter and badinage to expect.

Not the press for reporting it. Obviously it's just salacious tittle tattle and the FT should have had a quiet word with the organisers rather than report it to the public.

But no, the real victims - of course - are the men who attended. How could they have known what kind of event it was? They have literally been lured into it under false pretences. Luckily it sounds like almost all of them left early and didn't see anything untoward but still. The horror. Thoughts and prayers people. Thoughts and prayers.

The men who behaved themselves are the victims, as are those waitresses who enjoyed the night.

yes saddo, just ignore the ongoing scandal about sexual harassment.  Nothing to see there.  If the"pathetic creatures" can't look after themselves, that's their problem.

btw in case I didn't make this clear, I don't have any objection to strip clubs, regulated brothels or any other related activity.  My entire distaste with this event is rich powerful "puffed up middle aged men" - employers and society's leaders - as a group, indulging in demeaning behaviour and incidentally feeling the need to use ndas to keep everything "in the room".

Dave,

I agree on that point if criminal offences are committed.

The Affleck case is related in the sense that he was not found guilty of doing anything wrong yet the current climate means he cannot present an award at the Oscars.

There is no due process. We need to end out of court money settlements and can more cases to court and the conviction rate up.
By:

how was he found not guilty he chose to compensate the claimants to avoid court

more lost work for women at motor show,s , boat shows, racing car events etc, unless the femminists, women themselves thought they were employed to show people how the ins and outs of an engine works, but seems most wear something sexy and skimpy and not a pair of overalls, I think I no were we going on this one,
that's 3 people ive seen interviewed who run these hostess agencies and querl supridse ,there all run by women ,exploiting their compatriots if you believe the feminist lynch mob
