While we need to take account of the anguish of relatives and the need for hospitals to avoid criticism and lawsuits, I wonder if the elephant in the room is being addressed.
How much of NHS resources should be spent on keeping alive vegetative patients? How long should intensive care facilities, which could be used to save critical patients with a chance of recovery, be blocked by apparently hopeless cases? Has anyone seen this issue debated in the press, I haven't heard it mentioned on TV. |

There are many Issues need to be Looked at Regarding End of Life ,No doubt the Parents will kick off when Charlie passes within the 1st day or two at the Hospice ... if he lasts that long

Kids Brain Dead MDM has been for sometime . Very little wrong with the care Provided at Great Ormonde if there were any hope he would not be at this Stage ,,,,

they wanted to go to america months ago doctor there said there only a 10 per cent chance it would work if my son was ill doctor said its a million to 1 chance i would also want to go i hope people dont send gosh any money mine going to macmillan at christmas time in future

There was no 10% chance for the child at any time.
All that was ever said was that they might be able to reverse some of the damage. He would have remained blind, deaf and with substantial brain damage. |
