maybe if the rabble had been prepared to listen instead of shouting down the minister they might have got some answers.

Derbyshire wasn't shouting and she couldn't get an answer from him.

If temperatures reached 1000°c in the towers and to cremate a human body the temperature has to between at least 760°c-982°c, it stands to reason it will take a long time to comb through every room and find fragments of any bone or tissue they can to ascertain the total amount of people that were killed in the fire, which is why they said they may never know.
By:
Didn't take long to find 79 though and pick out 40 seperate people in one rooom surely that wouldv'e been an impossibility if there were no different traces, this was always going to happen predicted immediately the day after and so it came to pass..

The intesity of the fire would have been different at differnt parts of the building, lower down on one side for example there was little damange to the exterior, however smoke inhalation would have killed in the hallways and then there were those who jumped and died at the foot of the building and those that made it to hospital but no futher.

79 won't be enough for some of the extreme left, they based their hysteria and rage on hundreds, and they want hundreds. McDonnell is vile and dangerous.

The authorities reaction to this terrible tradegy has and still is appalling.
We need to sort this out. Housing is one of the biggest problems facing our people and it does not matter a jot if we an in the EU or out of it. Regaining our Sovereignty is one thing but taking back control of our country is another. We are not here to provide the means for rich people to get richer at our expense. Maybot is giving away £1Billion of our tax payer money to shore up her shortcomings meanwhile who is going to pay for the neccessary safety repairs to many tower blocks? We need homes and a decent health service. The emergency service workers who were visited by the Maybot will not be getting a pay rise of more than 1%. I believe we shall see thie Grenfell tradegy used again and again as a catalyst for change. We are many they are few and we do not have to put up with it anymore! |
By:
Official numbers of those living at Grenfell have not been released. Nor has a figure been given for the number of survivors. Pretty damn odd if you ask me.
By:
You can look on the Electoral Roll / Council Tax List for the Official Number of occupants to start. They need to be questioned if they actually lived there. If they did not who did? That would be my official starting point and then I would ask the residents
By:
Anyone housing illegals in there will be wondering what to tell the authorities. They will probably not be on any register. We may never know how many lived there, never mind if they were rescued or perished.
By:
Very true saddo, very true!
I can see where you are coming from " illegals " Furthermore I am struck hom many muslims were housed there. How did they get that housing? I am not being funny but apart from the risk of death by fire those places are not bad to live in. Good sized rooms with great views. I know rents in that area can reach $500-£700 a week and more if in private property. So I ask why do you assume they are illegals who burned to death? Why not ordinary people who just wanted to live close to where they worked? Maybe British citizens, God forbid maybe white folk? You can't really tell what colour they were after a fire of that intensity. So why did you use the term " illegals " saddo? |
By:
Didn't May offer some sort of immunity to survivors? Some were fearful of their immigration status I bleieve.

Man arrested claiming members of his family were lost in Grenfell fire.
First of many? |

By:
and would you believe her Injera
?Must have been plenty of people subletting to make a buck. Some will focus on the fact that maybe they were " Foreign " some that maybe they were " Muslim ". I would like to think that, lets remove Grenfell from the equation, I work, people I know work and they work hard. Why should they work hard when someone else gets their rent and council tax paid for them? I am not talking black or white or brown or muslim here. Grenfell might have been a death trap but it was location location location! How could I have got one of those? Some might think why do immigrants and " Muslims " get " sheite property " and people no doubt many people on here will focus on that. Others like saddo and his ilk will focus on how " illegals and muslims " get properties. I would love a property in such a location but I would never be offered one because I work! Am I white, black, brown, muslim or Christian? I am just a guy who works for a living ( well ashley I work to save me from betfair ). Many young men I work with will never have a chance to own their own home. That is truly sad in a great country like ours! |

earlier news today....the judge heading the inquiry is 'doubtful' that the enquiry will be wide ranging! Sir Martin Moore-Bick says it may be limited to the cause, how it spread and preventing a future blaze.
By:
Yes, it gives the impression of sweeping under the carpet. Should have been an inquest not an enquiry and as the judge has stated he will not consider why the tenants numerous complaints and fears were ignored.
By:
Exactly cooperman, an inquest would 'catch out' too many, hence the almost immediate 'public enquiry' statement from May, maybe social media (if mobilised) will force their hand.?
By:
Shirley there mus be an inquest/inquests?
The people must endeavour to have a wide ranging probe in this inquiry or not bother. Labour should promise a wide ranging probe should they be elected. |
By:
Muslim, Christian, other! it doesn't matter, they were people who suffered a horrible death, nobody should suffer what those poor souls went through.

nice one foxy loxy!
Interesting article. To me it seems like an Inquiry can lead to a whitewash due to a narrow frame of reference and time taken to produce " thorough " investigation!. While there are problems with an inquest I think it might be more honest as it might not aportion blame but indicate there was some. I just hope the Police do their job properly! |
By:
The judge was very quick to let us know that this is probably how it will go, perhaps testing reaction to see if he/they can get away with such narrow terms of reference.?? |
By:
The Inquiry will cost more than it would have cost to fit sprinklers. Possible more than it would cost to fit sprinklers in a huge number of tower blocks. Why not save the money and fit sprinklers? Oh thats right we do not have the money but we do have the money to pay and Judge and the Inquiry team possibly millions? how does that work?
We are many they are few. Stop believing the lies. Take our Country back! |
By:
"We are many they are few. Stop believing the lies. Take our Country back!" I hope some social media savvy peeps do just that!.

By:
I notice that the Councils attempt to hold a meeting in secret, excluding the press and the people they represent, which in itself is despicable, has failed due to a high court order. What did this shining example of democracy do when it was pointed out that press were in fact present? They closed the meeting and walked out. It's time someone sacked the lot of them and put someone in charge who knows what they're doing.
