She's cutting the payment to those OAPs that have a reasonable income.
My pensions take me above the average wage yet I get £200 heating allowance. You think I should? |

Yes Expats in sunnier climes really need their winter allowance, don't they. Grow up
|

I bet in the next few days she will clarify that she will not be cutting the fuel allowance, but her plan has worked already not a word about the promise of( low tax) changed to( tax will be as low as possible).Theresa is a clever girl.

did you donate this years allowance to a needy cause or did you keep it ? Didn't treat it any different from any other payments into my account. (I only actually get £100 and the wife the other £100) As it is I give by SO monthly donations to 2 charities which far exceeds that amount. |

i don't get it - everybody knows the bankers dropped us in the hole?
they just told you yesterday LLoyds took ten years to recover with the governments help after they crashed the car. yet the friends of the rich people and banks are the ahead in the polls. It's increased numbers of billionaires and we are now heading for inflation and starvation. yet we still cling onto blue red politics. when they are the same. labour has played kid on tories with Blair. (have you seen his school)(Goldman Sachs boy) or go with the Conservatives who don't have to pretend. they just want to cut your legs off to save a penny. Are we still playing class war when there are only 1800 billionaires winning. |

May has loads of terrible, evil policies, that will ruin lives for alot of people in this country, however this isn't one of them - actually quite a good idea to save some unnecessary expenditure
|
|
By:
Weird isn't it?
May says "Take some money back from those who can afford it, to give to those who need it" and it's a good idea. Corbyn says "Take some money back from those who can afford it, to give to those who need it" and he's a loony. All of which goes towards the proof that talking about politics is really a waste of time, People see what they want to see and seldom change their minds. |

Indeed when you have the biased right wing media fawning over One Nation Theresa and demonising Jeremy just like they have done with every Labour leader since the war , welcome to Murdoch/mail ukplc

Diane Abbott shadow home secretary,
The Home Secretary is responsible for, immigration, policing in England and Wales and matters of national security, the Security Service, MI5, is directly accountable to the Home Secretary. Would anyone really trust Diane Abbot with those powers? FFS.Corbyn who spent all his time rebelling against his own party on various matters, has now suddenly gone quiet on these same things, easy to be a disgruntled (union card carrying) shop floor worker carping about everything, different story when given the factory gate keys and the responsibilities of running the very thing that was easy to criticise when carping had no consequences. He couldn't run a newspaper stand without fcking it up, he's a moaner not a go getter, the proof is in the people he surrounds himself with. In a system like ours which needs strong opposition to limit the damage (whichever government) successive governments may do, and have done!!. We get this feeble clown and his circus troop. God help us. |

I've worked hard all my life and am now retired and have more money now than I know what to do with so why should someone give me £200 towards winter fuel. I've tried to give it back but the red tape is impossible so it goes to charity for the aged. I shall try not to freeze to death next winter. |
