A terrible tragedy...my sympathies for France and the victims. r.i.p
Either France have to considerably improve their security.... Or withdraw from any more military action in the M.East...they are very vulnerable. We are not so vulnerable, but cannot relax, I am glad we are out of the EU. |

just my own opinion.

National holiday, eleven o'clock at night,on the front in Nice, which is where all the rich people live and the hotels cost about £400 a night,a truck driver is supposedly working in this area.
Didn't any of the police think it looked out of place, even on the outskirts of Nice?,let alone near the seafront. |

I read an article a few days ago by some French minister and he said the country is on a knife edge. Obviously most of us don't follow regional French news much so we don't know what is happening on the streets, but he said one more incident in his opinion could tip the country into the brink of a civil war.

we are lucky we have water between us and europe

French woman on BBC news just said that while people were lying around dying last night, immigrant teenagers were pulling down an american flag?

By:
A few days national mourning...light a few candles, sing a few songs, wave a few flags. A few moderate muslims turn up to tell us about how Islam is all about peace.
The French unite in grief, go home and carry on as normal. F**k all gets done....rinse repeat. |
By:
Correct Eric. The 'Normalisation' of Terror. Don't forget to Tweet some Hashtags as well though.
Has anyone in Nice come forward yet to say "Youaintnomuslimbruv", to be eagerly parroted around the world by the luvvies? |
By:
The security forces are working furiously behind the scenes ....their numbers need to be increased with more funding.
This piece of filth slipped through ! |
By:
Went to the indepdendent to see how the apologists would spin it. Headline: "Bastille Day Massacre: death toll blah blah"
The very next sub-headline is "Many M*slims reportedly amongst those killed", well that makes it ok then. |
By:
I dread to think how C4 news will cover this. Perhaps say it's the french peoples fault for some people voting Front National and not being embracing enough of C4 news's favourite faith, then try and pin it on Farage.
By:
The luvvie apologists for Peaceful Religions never seem to understand that the mass-murderers don't stop to ask their victims first whether they are 'progressive', 'tolerant', or even fellow Peace-Loving sorts. They just kill indiscriminately.
By:
C4 News, Guardian, BBC News would surely all love to bring a BREXIT angle to this.
By:
Oh yes if this happened here you can be 100% sure BBc/C4/Grauniad would try to say it's a fair reaction to leave "racists".
By:
pipedreamer, the police spoke to him a couple of hours before the attack. He said he was delivering ice cream. A non-refrigerated hired truck and they believed him.
By:
This has nothing to do with islam. At least we know Mohammad the driver was just an ordinary petty criminal who likes driving lorries into children to kill them. Clearly a 'lone wolf' psychotic. He was probably texting at the time. Not that this activity is restricted to muslims but I read every week of foreign lorry drivers killing or maiming people in this country. But to say so is very racist. At least we have that lovely Mr Kahn from London coming out and reassuring us. It gladdens my heart to see how we can get on with people who follow strange cults. At least we won't have to salivate over all those semi naked women posted on the side of buses anymore.
'Ali Ba Ba' or whatever it is they shout. |
By:
Guy on BBC Daily Politics doesn't want to say his name in case it's "wrong"!!! Yea right, it's all over the rest of the media including french newspapers, it's because it's Mo***ed.
By:
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM BUT EVERYTHING TO DO WITH BREXIT!!!
It has definitely destabilised europe (as you were warned) -Clearly it went to Mohammad's brain and sent him crazy. Proof if you ever needed it. ' Ali Ba Ba'!!!!!! |
By:
So those french air strikes in the middle east are doing a lot of good then.
It's just another day. |
By:
There are so many of these regular attrocities now I'd forgotten about the turkish airport thing
.What did that "days since last attack" counter get to? |
By:
I know that they will never stop. They will never give up. They will eventually outbreed us and either vote to get total control or carry on killing till WE give in.
By:
and this MAY on tv right now wants to embrace sharia law etc so forget her doing anything at all
By:
COBRA is meeting - I feel much safer now. There is intelligence sharing between us and france. I thought brexit would destroy all this cooperation(as we were told) (not that we have left yet)

By:
Our government as well as America, France and the rest of the west can stop ISIS if they want, but they prefer to aid them. The people are far too thick to realise it so it'll continue. It's got sweet f.a to do with religion, that's just a ridiculous scapegoat. It's got everything to do with bent politics.
By:
The independent headline is now that a "Loner" commited the attack. Jesus wept.
By:
That could be it....although I suspect he may have been ISIS inspired

The Leopard • July 15, 2016 11:16 AM BST We do not give in to terrorists. The Leopard ISIS can never be appeased ! I would not disagree with that. But is French Bombing in the M.East needed? We are getting to the stage where nothing is going to stop this. The security must be upped then. |
By:
My point would be that the indy would never, ever, ever run a headline that a "m*slim" commited the attack in the name of his religion. They are desperately runnign around trying to find other words/reasons to explain his behaviour away apart from the glaring in your face one. It's exactly the same as the "repressed g*y" thing of a few weeks ago.

By:
I fear that as well Satrus_Froot..
It is certainly contributing. We could with honesty here, we really could |
By:
The conspiracy nuts/lefties blaming this on our governments can f off. Sad sad people.
By:
There's a lot of criticism of media here. What would be your own personal choice of information source in this case (British or not)?
By:
Not is this case but I always laugh at the explanations for so called radicalisation such as poverty, poor education etc etc when so many bombers etc turn out to be doctors, sons of middle class etc etc etc and not down at heel poor people living in ghettos.
By:
We cant say either way at the moment Just Checking. He has rifles and grenades as well, that would suggest organised terrorist support.
But people can become alienated in our societies as well, once they do that they can start to believe in extreme causes. It is open at the moment, but we need the truth here. It takes two to tango just checking. I am not blaming our government for this attack. |
By:
Not in this case however!!!
By:
The attackers in Dhaka a while ago were privately educated in Malaysia. All were from upper class backgrounds.Jihad John was from a wealthy family. In fact, terrorists are disproportionately well educated.

The root cause of these atrocities is Islam, looking for any other reason is to be in blind denial. This evil, backward religion is a cancer to western society and culture, one which needs to be cut out entirely while we can still survive the surgery.
