Slaughter if done right should be near instant!

Bull fighting inflicts severe suffering & paiiiiiiiiin, surely any idiot can see that?

again **** the matador, good riddance

So if you were given the chance to get snuffed out hopefully pain free at 10 years old or have more freedom and then go in to a ring as a twenty year old and possibly suffer pain and possibly die but maybe have a chance of living you're pretty certain you would chose the first?

It gives me a nice warm feeling that for most Brits or Irish, regardless of which political persuasion you are on, torturing and taunting an animal to death makes you a good old fashioned ***t of a man. I feel a breaking out of unity in the room Laugh.

the question about having a few years running free is academic. i cannot fathom how a civilised people can exult in the discomfort of a confused terrified animal being tortured. i like spain, and its people, but this 'tradition' is vile, and needs to be described thus. imagine bull-fighting had not previously existed, and you try to introduce it? no chance. the outrage would be overwhelming. what does that tell you?

Britain had **** fighting, dog fighting, bear fighting I think, etc, we became civilised.
We also used to burn witches and put unmarried mothers in asylums.

I don't accept the "it's historic and cultural" argument one little bit.

It's similar to when muslims rape young girls & say "it's historic and cultural"

We're just acting like our great false prophet - see the first Cologne sex offenders
got a suspended sentence (big deal)  & 1 just laughed & showed no remorse

Your red streak
On the plot where many feet
Left it incomplete.
But you kept the meaning.
You feel him charge again,
And you feel him cut you down
Right on the spot
Where you thought
You were ground for good.
These flights of fantasy
Make your wounds more sore,
But you've every right
To even grab at the last straw.
Oh, Lord...

Oh, you rolling matador,
Kill in your eyes
For the toro
That shut the door
To glory and gore.
The throw of the rose--
It's all you lived for,
But you've lost it all.

As I posted earlier it was argued before it was banned in the last 10 years or so that it was cultural to throw live goats and donkeys out of a church bell tower.
Hopefully sometime soon they'll see the light with bullfighting as well. BTW the goats and donkeys were thrown during a Spanish religious festival.

are spanish and french people barbarians? they indulge in practices we find abhorrent. hunting is normal for them. they laugh at our prohibition of fox-hunting, laws that they will never pass. are we uniquely civilised?

makes you think grappler.

is this a very good reason we're distancing ourselves from this - we're just not
the same breed of people

What point are you trying to make? I'm aware of this song and this has nothing to do with a matador being killed and certainly Kate would not be 'punching the air' at the thought of it. FFS

The Matador Víctor Barrio would not have been risking his life if he did not 100% believe  he was indulging in something about honour and respect in line with the  culture of his country .

The barbarians on here ,the same mob that insisted rolf was inocent and defend paedos and say their victims have not been harmed ,the same  sickos  talk of having no sympathy but know nothing of bullfighting ,its origins or culture ,they are ignorant fools .
The type that cheered on when the labour party wasted 700 hours of parly time on banning foxhunting and less than 12 before inavding Iraq ,the  same immoral sorts that put animals before humans ,confuse animals with humans  and distort reality .

RIP Victor Barrio and applogies to any Spanish people looking in and reading these disturbed rants from cavemen

Kate's lyrics have always been a bit ambiguous, but the one thing I'm certain about is that she would never be punching the air over the death of a human being.
