There's some good Scot's on here,
but as they said on the radio earlier Scotland & London nearly ruined it. I feel sorry for the ones that want out that might get dragged back in the EU |

If i was Scottish id be more than happy with what i had in the UK.
I think "she's" taking the p1ss asking for another referendum. There's a lot of space up there, what does space = in the eu. So a choice of being part of the UK or being part of a collapsing EU Nicola's think's Scotlands better joining the failing eu? |

In 2008, a study group established by the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS), a committee of the Bank for International Settlements, found that rating agencies had underestimated the severity of the subprime mortgage crisis, as had "many market participants". According to the CGFS, significant contributing factors included "limited historical data" and an underestimation of "originator risk" factors.
Moodys like the other big 2 were found out ,thar ratings were found not to be worth the paper they were written on ,these agencies were investigated for conflicting interests and wether they were compromised . These agencies agencies were found out and they lost what little credability they had ,the ratings on SUBPRIME they produced were junk ,Total mince ,,these agencies failed and are now insignificant to quote them is folly ,the fact they are giving unsolicitated credit ratings on the UK tells you all you need to know ,they have already been dragged throught the courts backwards for this before ,the markets dropped more in the states and eu than here, although i would be more concerned if they were giving upbeat reports ,they are trying to put the squeeeze on though ,overall the fact the markets dropped more elsewhere than they did here should not be lost on anyone ,that alone speaks volumes . |

I never knew we was refused to join the eu in the 60's.
& had to wait 10 years before being accepted & they reckon even then we wern't welcomed with open arms. **** Europe & the EU - We're bigger & better than that |

Many now blame the credit agencies for playing a big hand in the 2008 financial collapse with their downgrading this that and everything ,missed rating the root cause of the problem correctly as the junk it was and then ran around destroying peeps with bad cred warnings as things unfolded making any chance of them fighting thar way out impossible ,shower of discredited and trecherous snakes .

i do think we've released the brakes on a inflationary meltdown that has been brewing for the last 15 years.
it has to happen at some point, this has just brought it forward. there's going to be a massive correction in the value of sterling, inflation will rise, interest rates will go up and there will be a housing market crash. we'll probably be out of it in about 10 to 15 years but it's not going to be pretty. |

I never knew we was refused to join the eu in the 60's.
I read that Macmillan arranged for France to gain nuclear knowledge from the USA in return for their support at the time, then De Gaulle reneged on that when we applied afterwards. How on earth Heath could contemplate trusting such people is beyond me. |

^^^^ it was the seventies. Britain was on its knees. They had to join to generate money from the common market.

The French President, Charles de Gaulle, has for a second time said he will veto Britain's application to join the Common Market. Think he's referring to that ^ |
