I do wonder what would happen if we simply packed up and left the Middle East. The way I see it, the Arabs didn't start any of this. 911 was after the yanks had been meddling for years. Bali was after Australia had supported the US in Afghanistan. London was after the Brits got involved in Afghanistan and Iraq. And so on. Plenty of countries who lead a similar hedonistic lifestyle to ours have no problems whatsoever with Islamic extremism.

We have incredible military capabilities these people do not have. How do we expect them to fight us? Throw petrol bombs at the fighter jets 30 thousand feet above bombing the sh1t out of them? For all the innocent Westerners killed, we have done far, far worse, and we do it by pressing buttons.

There's a telling factor that doesn't get considered that much and that is the value put on life.
Everyone gets shocked and appalled at activities like what occurred yesterday but how long do the American bombing of innocents get contrition nowadays?
About 24 hours or so I'd say from experience then it never gets mentioned again.
Like that most recent one where they bombed the fook out that hospital....a hospital ffs was it in Afghanistan?
There have been literally countless occasions where the collective shrug has just seen it and forgot it, with the further devalued life of others as a result.
Well some people remember this stuff, and it tends to come home to roost now and then.

There is a vast moral difference between in the fog of warfare hitting a wrong target which is a mistake, and shooting a young woman or disabled person in the face. Certainly the US can be trigger happy, I will grant you that. But the continous reverting to attacking the US is tedious. They were only dropping the damned thing to try and hit more of these murders.

Is dustybin an alias Facts uses when he's been humiliatted too much?

The US Kill civilians yes, but by a terrible accident and doubtless feel sorrow and regret after it.

these scum aim to kill innocents and celebrate it. I really don't think you can equate the two.
By:

Exactly treble. You can't equate the two.
A famous example, in ww2 we sent a raid into copenhagen to hit a Gestapo HQ. One of the first mosquitos came down and landed on a school closeby that sadly looked similar. The follow ups hit that as the asumed the smokey thing was the target.

I'm sure the pilots for the rest of their lives tortured themselves. Does that equate morally to the SS marching into a school and shooting the kids, who actually WANTED to do it?

No ... well maybe if you're messed up like Facts/Dustybin and hate the US and us so much.

therhino is spot on. The dictators who run these countries had to ran a tight ship for a reason....to keep all these different factions repressed.

That said how do the west turn a blind eye to the likes of Saddam who gassed 10,000 + of his own people.

It's all the fault of the US for attacking Jihadi John ? We took a long time in the 30's before UK woke up to what was really happening, still more time required I guess.

224.000 deaths in Iraq since. Not a big fan of Saddam but his numbers were better.

If the Arabs had the military capability of the West, they could fight fire with fire. But they don't. So they don't...

We as Westerners think we are so morally righteous it's not funny. Posters like Just Checking and Treble need to wake the fk up and get your heads removed our asses.

Until we acknowledge the fact that we are INVADERS, this is never going to stop. Doesn't have anything to do with our love of booze, sex and good times like some think. It is retaliation. Don't hear about much islamic extremism in Brazil do you?

I'm guessing you'll shut up about that, as you've an agenda...

I am not an apologist. And what is my agenda? It is reprehensible what these people did. But I acknowledge that there is a cause and effect at play here. You only seem to acknowledge the effect. Do you really think they are blowing themselves up for fun?

I am not shouting conspiracy. It's pretty much common sense what I am arguing. 500,000 civilian deaths in Iraq alone since the war started and those are conservative estimates. And you think they shouldn't be pissed off about it.
