Expect the term "crack cocaine of gambling" to be used a few times.

This the first of a series. This will be more reality TV than documentary, imo.

A bloke I know gets the odd bet on for me at the Coral's shop featured tonight, in Huddersfield.

Unlike most of the dikheads in there (I've seen a preview) we make money out of it, although hard to get on more than £50 if a decent price as we all know.

A shop local to me.
Tony has been there since I started going in 30 years ago. (Stuart was the manager in those days).
I don't like Tony.  And he's being much more polite with the camera on him.

The Cherry Tree shop is the whipping boy shop.
The oldest person there behind the counter usually looks 19.
They need some experience there.

Don't know you could work in a betting shop these days and sleep at night with the promotion on these addictive machines.

The machines are dreadful.
Ruined betting shops imo.

Surely it's the punters fault if they lose their cash on the machines?
Nobody forcing them to play them. I visit the bookies a couple of times a week and never play them.

The BBC are just doing a 3-part advert for Corals.
I cannot believe what I'm watching.....

Inaccurate, leaving LOADS of relevant stuff out, showing staff loving the boss and the company (which with Coralls more than anyone, never happens).

This must be the only betting shop manager in the country who doesn't bet.....

I make you right, what IS wrong is you can go in & lose a grand in 10 minutes on the machines  but want a ton on a 5/1 shot on the horses & they won't take your bet

Any mention of robberies yet?

Any mention of the Laddies manageress who got knocked out and raped in Leicester a few weeks ago.

Any managers moaning about single manning?

Your not a good customer then Akabula if you go into a betting shop and don't play these machines. Behind his fake smiles this betting shop manager Tony knows the score.

Exactly right Pumpy. They are bookmakers and not casinos and it's high time some of these so called friendly MP's sorted it out If they don't want to stand a bet take their licence off them.
