only race Sunderland is likely to win since Steve Cram was known as Bambi...

SNP getting 58 of 59 is the most astonishing. Hope it's true.
Clegg will be joining Miliband in the dole queue. |

Sunderland also win this Rease. In fact it's just Sunderland v Sunderland (v Sunderland?)

Can't frigging stand Harriet Harman but she put as good a spin on it as could be asked for, in fairness to the witch.

Harman effectively admitted that the Tories will be forming the next government there.
|
|
By:
Clegg still shortish odds on to win his seat. Think Tory tactical voters will keep him in.

Very good point Darlington.

I think clegg will keep his seat.

In a close election, it's in Tory voters interests to keep Clegg in.

Do the TV channels always use a single election poll? I thought they used to have slight discrepancies between them?

YouGov chairman Peter Kellner is sticking with his prediction that David Cameron will end up with 284 MPs, Ed Miliband 263, the Nick Clegg’s Lib Dems 31, the SNP 48, UKIP 2, Plaid Cymru 3, and the Greens 1 – as well as the 18 members from Northern Ireland.
One of these exit polls is out. |

“Don’t be surprised if the headline is very circumspect, which basically means: ‘Who knows?’” John Curtice, the professor of politics at Strathclyde University who will be analyzing the numbers for the BBC, said in an interview. “Unless the polls are wrong, this is the closest election in 40 years.”
. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-04-30/u-k-election-exit-pollster-says-his-poll-may-be-vague-or-wrong laying the favourite and hoping the exit is fooked is my strategy for a bit |

I hope to the god I dont believe in it's right..won't be able to sleep with the excitement of waiting for Milliband's face

think any other is short now if the tories do as well as the exit poll suspect they will go minority if they dont do as well the numbers wont stack up
|
|
By:
I'm a bit spooked by the process tbh
Sunderland appear to have their own smart software for a quick count which has n't been syndicated to other constituencies. They make great play about not revealing exit poll until 10pm, yet there is a new rule that you don't have to have voted by 10pm but merely have to have been issued with your ballot paper, so technically you could watch the exit poll on your smart phone then cast your vote. Nobody asks you for ID at the polling station, not even your polling card. .and you can vote for a party who gets 15% of total votes but only 3 seats in parliament(not that I did)... |
|
By:
There was talk of Milliband preparing his speech to become PM during the past fortnight but, if those figures are even near the truth, he,ll have to resign in the morning,

Peter Kellner famously had a nightmare at the 1992 election. Since then though I think he has usually been spot on. He used to write a column for the Sporting Life and won a fortune on the '97 election I think.
