Month of his contract remaining.... can't see Auntie missing the opportunity to get rid and revamp the show.
He's had enough chances and a verbal(expletive),physical attack on a work colleague should result in dismissal. |

"How sad that the justification for keeping an aggressive old dinosaur like Clarkson, and the outdated selfish creed that he champions, on our screens is because the show makes money"
And there you have it folks ![]() The REAL reason why lefties want him off our screens. Forget what he may or may not have done, he doesn't agree with our politics so let's get rid ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Forget what he may or may not have done, he's a Tory c*nt, so let's keep him, eh Roomie?

Amazing how Mr.Clarkson can provoke such hatred on here. He's only an inconsequential television presenter, not an Isis executioner !
|
|

Well, having attempted to watch, and failed, some new offering on, is it, Chanel 5 featuring the "smarminess" of Quentin Wilson and some "awkward"
bint who, genuinely, I still haven't connected with who she is, I'll be mildly sorry to see the demise of "Top Gear"! I do however prefer to watch on "catch up", so I can fly through the aggravating bits, and reduce the experience to about 12 minutes! |

I've only one thing to say - listen to his desert island disc choices (old fart me was impressed)

Certainly an inconsequential tv presenter to anyone with a brain but there are too many blokeish petrol heads who lap up his every word and who take him seriously.

I've only one thing to say - listen to his desert island disc choices (old fart me was impressed) I always respect your opinion on music LHF, so I'm not going to have a cheap pop at Clarkson now. All I'll say is I'm glad he didn't choose Radiohead like his mate, Cameron. (Was just about to post but checked Cameron's list before I did - he also picked Dylan's Tangled Up In Blue and The Smiths' This Charming Man - it's enough to make one question one's taste in music!) |
|
By:
Both Cameron and Clarkson picked a Pink Floyd tune too. Clarkson went for Time (seriously?) while Cameron opted for Wish You Were Here. ****s!
|
|
By:
the BBC have apologised to Top Gear fans for postponing this weeks show after being deluged with complaints.

Amazing how Mr.Clarkson can provoke such hatred on here. He's only an inconsequential television presenter, not an Isis executioner ! Personally I think he acts the way he does because he thinks he is irreplaceable, not a nice trait, could not care less if he keeps or loses his job & the million people signing a petition really should find something else to protest about. |
|
By:
Larger than life and a tad big headed, seems to work very well within the BBC if your face fits though? Clarkson has had to suffer a lot of back stabbing from pygmies within the organisation.
|
|
By:
Normally, 'backstabbing' people the size of pygmies is encouraged at the Beeb.

No, Micky, I know it's a novel idea, but how about waiting until the facts are established before deciding whether he should be sacked or not. |

i came across him in the arrivals hall of an airport after a long flight, he instructed (more ordered) his wife to find someone to carry their cases before they'd come off the carousel
he then fcked off out through customs so he could have a **** leaving mrs clarkson surrounded by hand luggage and the job of finding their hold luggage a rude man imo |
|

Worth millions though, elise, so your point means nowt. Apparently.

there are some people that blow this stuff out of all proportion (either way), the fact is if you knew someone like this you'd have an opinion, that opinion would depend upon your own morals and the way you lead your own life
in any normal situation he'd have been fired, the fact that he seems to have a hold of his superiors means he's created a persona he believes he can carry into everyday life, most of us would expect an assault charge in all of his tweets and interviews as yet i've not heard one mention of the word sorry, either for his attitude or splitting someones lip, maybe i missed it? perhaps chav culture and the belief that celebs can do what they like because they are celebs is the way it now is in life, i just won't be teaching those morals to my kids |

Looks like we may now have a choice of answers to the question "Name a famous Irishman." Not only is there the builder off Fawlty Towers, but now there's also that bloke Clarkson punched.
|
|
By:
Jeremy Clarkson threatened to have producer Oisin Tymon sacked before he punched him in the face during a 40-minute rant over a missing meal, his disciplinary hearing will be told.
The Top Gear presenter allegedly ripped into his stunned colleague after arriving by helicopter at a hotel from a pub where he had been boozing heavily for several hours with co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond to find no hot food. He called Oisin a “lazy, Irish coont” before splitting his lip with a punch that left the 36-year-old with blood running down his face and needing treatment in A&E, the BBC investigation will be told. ![]() what a knob |

By:
Stewart Lee? On a par with Lenny Henry.
Once said something remotely funny and now labelled a comic. ![]() |
|
By:
Fascinates me how some of you could justify sacking him for being rude and obnoxious yet the BBC lauds a turd rate personality like Russell Brand ????
|
|
By:
Agreed tt. I can't stand Russell Brand so I now never watch him or read any of the stuff he spouts to the media.
Easiest solution. |
|
By:
Jeremy Clarkson? On a par with Katie Hopkins. Repeatedly says something c*ntish and now labelled a c*nt.

@brendanuk's account raises a couple of questions. Why A&E for a split lip, and unless Top Gear is doing a drunk-driving special, wtf are three presenters on a motoring show going on a day-long booze-up?
And the BBC has been making programmes for 80 or 90 years now, so surely outside-broadcast catering (for crew as well as "talent") should be down to a fine art by now. The whole affair is just bizarre, including what seems the BBC's over-reaction in pulling the rest of the series. |
