whilst paddletoe is right in so far as the extremists feed on the publicity they garner from atrocities so inhibiting this would prevent them from boasting of their "achievements" but the idea of democracy includes a free press which gives complete freedom to offer full reporting without restrictions so it is somewhat of a paradox

A media black out was just one idea. It would be limited to a short period only and unless it was clear what I meant it was so that not only would the actions of the terrorists be kept away from the public but the actions of special forces could be kept away from the public so there would be no questions asked when they would use this period to take out some of the leaders of these groups within each country.
Something more should have been done when you had a lot of the rotten eggs in the same basket at the same time in Iraq when they were killing innocent people who were no threat to them. They should have been smoked then. |

According to unconfirmed reports, French police have identified the three suspects linked to the Paris attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo, which left 12 people dead.
Two of the suspects are believed to be brothers, identified as Said and Cherif Kouachi. The brothers are in their early 30s, are of French nationality, and reside in Paris. A third suspect, Hamyd Mourad, 18, is said to be from Reims. Police believe he is a high school student. 35-year-old Cheriff Kouachi, was convicted on terrorism charges in 2008. According to a 2008 Bloomberg report, he was first arrested in Paris in January 2005, when he was caught trying to fly to Damascus, Syria, on his way to join the Iraqi insurgency. Cheriff Kouachi reportedly told a court that he was inspired by detainee abuse by U.S. troops at Baghdad's infamous Abu Ghraib prison, though he claimed he was relieved he was stopped In the 2005 Pittsburgh Tribune Review report, citing Kouachi's lawyer, it stated that the would-be terrorist was not religious, drank alcohol, smoked marijuana, had premarital sex with his girlfriend and had a job delivering pizzas. At the time, Kouachi had learned "the basics" on how to handle Kalashnikovs, Le Monde reported.He was convicted in 2008 of terrorism charges for helping funnel fighters to Iraq's insurgency and given a three-year sentence, half of which was suspended. The assailants, who have been linked to a Yemeni terrorist network, were armed with Kalashnikov rifles and are believed to be trained in military combat. It has been suggested they may be radicalised jihadists who have recently returned from Syria. |

Burton, the guardian is a rottenpaper, they will be twisting and turning trying to blame anything other than Islam but this may go down as a turning point within Europe and its approach towards Islam. It is time we stopped apologising for murdering terrorists. |

I was interested in Burton Brewers' post about the percentage of muslims in various countries and its effect on things.
I would dispute, howver, his figure of only 2.7% in the United Kingdom. My sources suggest that the 2011 census showed 4.8% of the British population were muslim and, more worrying still, a massive 9.1% of British children under five were muslim. |
