She was tested 7 times when she got back to Heathrow.

She told the testers she felt she had a fever but they said she was clear and told her to go home.

The symptoms of Ebola can sit in your body for 21 days before showing themselves.

Quarantine everybody who comes into the UK from any part of Africa.

NHS Can't afford it?

Not enough isolation units?

Fack 'em, put 'em back on the plane and stop all traffic from Africa.

Or send them all to Chester.

Chester's lovely :-) I'd rather we spent money on trying to save the life of a woman trying to do some good than those who live a life scrounging.

It must be lovely, Sibaroni lives there.

Better than Wolverhampton, where he used to live. Laugh

CMAT. I agree. If the symptoms can remain undetected for 21 days then any nursing staff should be quarantined for longer than that. Say 28 days. This quarantine should be served BEFORE they fly out and disperse to different countries.

We also need to teach these medical people how to maintain the strict discipline required to operate a safety procedure.

I've just watched the one on the BBC website showing how to put on and take off the necessary protective attire. They got it wrong!! Cry

G2D. All the more reaso0n why these people returning from danger zones should INSIST that they are checked thoroughly. They should also ensure that they, and everybody else concerned, understands the importance of adhering strictly to their safety procedures without exception.Women like this nurse are just downright gung-ho and extremely dangerous. I also doubt very much if her present hospital can operate, without exception, to a strict safety regime.

You disgusting inadequate piece of filth - "Women like this nurse" who the fck do you think you are? Scumbag.

Phoned 111 yesterday, tooth abscess, after explaining my reason for calling (my dentist closed until Monday) I was asked inane questions completely unrelated to the condition, I knew exactly where the dopey bint was going with this, and it  was confirmed with the fckin unbelievable "have you been to or returned from West Africa, in the last 21 days. I snapped and said I haven't been to or returned from West Africa in the last fckin 21 years.

So now we have more useless call center tick boxes, to make it look as if they are on top of this, fckin useless c*********ts.

Dave1357. I think you are over-reacting to my post. I merely pointed out that she, and all the others who have been exposed to this danger, should insist that they are given the training, equipment and knowledge to work in these danger zones and to return home safely.
It's alright wanting to help, but without the necessary training, equipment and working practises in place these nurses are exposing themselves, their families and everybody else that they come into contact with. in danger of contamination.

I think you would have to agree that the systems and checks have failed her badly.

I think I've already pointed out to you that the race has been run. You're like one of those Japanese soldiers emerging from the jungle in the 70's. Give it up man.

And I think I pointed out before Sept 18th that no matter the result, the movement would continue. It has, it has gathered strength, and will progress.

"She was tested 7 times when she got back to Heathrow."

I know we can all look back with hindsight, but in the circumstances when she told them she felt unwell and also felt she had a fever, testing her 7 times and sending her home was a terrible mistake and failed her badly. Especially coming back from a danger zone.

Apparently that day they had 37 healthcare workers coming back and no extra staff on duty doing the checking procedures, so it was all a bit chaotic. And more like they were starting to get a bit complacent about the whole thing.

'not dangerous' the govt said.

'no need for panic' the govt said.

that was back when the death toll was just 3,000

Its almost 8,000 now.

I've taken no chances and cancelled my holiday to Sierra Leone. Happy

I've an android phone and yes the internet stuff is great but as an actual phone I think it's inferior to an old Nokia.

I wonder how long it'll be (if it's not already happening) before beardy hipster tw*ts start using them as a fashion accessory :)

Not a chance Alias. Dream all you like but Wee Jimmy Crankie is no Salmond. The stars aligned perfectly this year and still you got a whipping.

The stars? Now we know where you get your inspiration Eo.Laugh

A whipping? No, a result which would have been overturned by a mere 5.1% swing, and one which was achieved with the help of the corrupt, lying and "perfectly aligned" establishment and press, not to mention a little assistance from the ever respectable, "above politics" monarchy. Anyway, I'm sure you claimed to be a yes voter somewhere along the line, and it's not me you should advise to "give it up", I didn't raise Scottish politics on this thread. Look elsewhere to some arch unionists' posts.

Watched a programme where she put on 3 stone and then lost it to prove to the fatties that it can be done.

A lot of what she says is a wind up, but with regard to obesity, she does say some things that aren't popular and need to be said and there aren't many that have the guts to say it.
