I'm still not sure on this one. The police have told so many other lies about this. A politician who is clearly a t1t or an organisation who have seen one (atm) member jailed for lying about what went on. Imagine trying to work out who to believe.

Its not even a particularly an offensive word, people have called me plebs(probably deservedly) I have called them plebs....any sensible human being forgets about it 5 mins it just means someone been has the bit of an idiot which we all are at times We have become a society who are obsessed with the trivial  |

It is a particularly offensive word but I think the whole case is absurd. The equivalent been said to me and from me plenty of times on here.

According to the judge the copper was
"not the sort of man who would have had the wit, imagination or inclination to invent on the spur of the moment an account of what a senior politician had said to him in temper" So he is too thick to have made it up so it is 'probably' true. What a mess. |

Mitchell was a fool for going to court.
He should know that courts are like lotteries. The judge surmised that he had used the word and said the PC was too thick to have made it up, so he says Mitchell is a liar. Giving his ruling, Mr Justice Mitting said: "For the reasons given I am satisfied at least on the balance of probabilities that Mr Mitchell did speak the words alleged or something so close to them as to amount to the same including the politically toxic word pleb." At least for everyone who has been fitted up by police lies there is some consolation in it happening to a leading politician if that is what has happened. Personally I am on the side of the police ... Cameron was quick to dismiss Mitchell. |

@curious-cat -- some (other) police were lying (making out they were tourists who'd been shocked, for instance) but not, it appears, the ones most centrally involved.

What do you mean after he's out of earshot?
Maybe doff a cap to the master too and thank him for his grace upon us. This tells a story, one of what the mindset is of the supposed ruling classes towards the very ppl kept in line while being fed feel good ethereal notions like 'democracy' that doesn't even exist in the real world. |
