I see that mug studybore has flounced off taking his dunces cap and abacus with him.

I should imagine that would have been pol pot's opinion Tony. After all he was a lefty. Interesting how you see moral equivalence between a minister of our government and one of the most evil of the 20th century tyrants. You missed a trick though. You should have gone for one of the real bad bastaards like Stalin or Mao.

Oi! Prikk! You can't spell bested.
Nor can you do any 'besting', in fact I seriously doubt you could even 'best' a half-set Strawberry jelly with a pneumatic drill. You, EO, are completely deluded, you trawl through, (mainly the politics forum thankfully) spouting crap, irritating other, more sensible, more sane forum users and imagining you've sent them scuttling away, having in some way defeated them. Here's a little news for you, no-one is beaten, bested or in any way overwhelmed by your pseudo-righteous, pompous crap. It's boring, you are boring and also a good part of the reason I - and others - don't use the politics forum. Other posters correct you and argue salient points against you all the time, EO. You're just too weird to see it. Other than the 3 minutes I spent on this completely waste of time response to your perpetual prompting, my point having been well made earlier on the thread, there will be no further posts by me on this thread. Go on knock yourself out. |
|
By:
I'll bet you broke that abacus in half with your self righteous fury. Feel free not to respond to me but Crippen made the same point as me. You can't do maths and your logic is grossly flawed. Now crawl away and lick your wounds sucker.

What can be wrong in asking people who claim to be unfit for work to supply some tangible evidence of their illness before they are given extra hand outs?
Something had to be done, and has to be continued to be done to ensure that everybody who is unemployed doesn't jump on the disability benefit gravy train. 1.5 million people unfit for work indeed. Perhaps if people weren't so dishonest and only claimed when they were genuinely ill, we could find extra money for the truly disabled. |
|
By:
Exactly Crippen. There is a deep seated malaise and silent fury amongst the majority of honest decent people. They have been taken for fools and they don't like it. They don't like con men putting their hands in decent folks pockets wherever they originate be they politicians, bankers, foreign criminals or home grown benefits spongers. They are more than happy to help out the disabled or those fallen on hard times but they don't want that kindness abused.

My local co-op had collectors for the Foodbank today.
To say I was a tad shocked by the list of items they wanted is an understatement...here are a few.. 1) Tinned custard 2) Sponge puddings (tinned) 3) Instant mash 4) tinned fruit 5) pasta sauces 6) cartons of juice I live in a wealthy part of the country. If we are handing out instant mash and tinned custard we're in a right mess.. Can people not make custard and mash their own spuds? (spuds are staggeringly cheap this time of year). Are they so in need that they need a jar of sauce and can't make one in a saucepan costing less than 50p?? I saw someone donate 2 tins of Pringles! The more we give for free the more will be consumed and so the 'demand' and 'need' will seem greater when in fact it's not. There's something not quite right with our lack of personal responsibility. Ps Tony Broke, I'm not making a direct link between your list of people and this foodbank. |
|
By:
Well you've certainly made most of your post up that came before that.
Not at all Crippen, everything there is taken from your earlier posts. Why can't you just answer a few simple questions? |

By:
MB,
Crikey MB you're like a dog with a bone, but it's nice to see that I can still get under people's skin. Keep smarting, that's what I like to see. |

By:
doc crippen, i am coming to the conclusion that u are on the wind up. The fecking evidence is given by docs all over the country, you know 100% well that people who are very ill have had to wait for far longer than is normal or even MORALLY acceptable, most are then refused in spite of evidence, they have to then appeal, many then actually win their case, as ive said on numerous occasions before. If i were you i would very seriously consider sending in your application for atos medical assessor.Youd prob refuse to allow cancer sufferers any benefits whatsoever, and, in fact, if we take that cvunt dunc smith at his word, we would have paraplegics employed as botton pushers.

Nov 2014 Disabled peer warns DWP that tighter benefit rules could cause more deaths By john pring newslatestA disabled peer has warned her own government that tightening social security rules even further could lead to more deaths of benefit claimants, days after Disability News Service (DNS) revealed there had been 60 secret reviews into such tragedies. Last week’s DNS story – that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) had carried out 60 internal reviews “following the death of a customer” in less than three years – has been widely shared across social media. And on Wednesday (19 November), it was raised by the disabled Liberal Democrat peer Baroness [Celia] Thomas in a debate in the House of Lords. She told fellow peers – during a discussion of controversial government plans to increase the time that someone has to wait before applying for out-of-work benefits from three to seven days – that she was “particularly concerned” about the impact on claimants of employment and support allowance (ESA). Estimates suggest that, in 2015-16, about 35,000 ESA claimants and 245,000 claimants of jobseeker’s allowance would be most at risk from the proposed changes. Baroness Thomas said: “Here I want to mention another reason the department ought to be very careful before implementing this particular policy as it applies to ESA claimants [with mental health conditions]. “It was on the news at lunchtime that there is evidence that the DWP has carried out 60 reviews into suicides linked to benefit cuts in the past three years. “This very serious matter has been uncovered by John Pring of the Disability News Service and I think we ought to hear more about this in the coming weeks.” The DNS story was also reported by BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours programme, although no mainstream newspaper appears to have covered it yet. DNS editor John Pring told You and Yours: “I think what should be a system of support has turned into for some people persecution and has caused some people to take their own lives and has caused others to die through lack of food or heating. “One of the things we need to know now is what were the conclusions and recommendations of these 60 reviews.” DWP has so far refused to release the reviews because they include the personal details of deceased benefit claimants. You and Yours also spoke to the sister of Tim Slater, from Staffordshire, who killed himself in September 2013 after he was found “fit for work” following an assessment by Atos Healthcare. She said the Atos assessment had failed to take any account of his mental health condition, and only examined the impact of his sight impairment. His case is now being reviewed by DWP. Slater, who had survived a previous suicide attempt, was one of the hundreds of thousands of claimants of old-style incapacity benefit who have been reassessed through the much-criticised work capability assessment process since early 2011. A coroner concluded that a major factor in his death had been that his benefits had been “greatly reduced, leaving him almost destitute and with a threatened repossession of his home”. Meanwhile, the disabled Canadian academic and campaigner Samuel Miller, who tweets at @Hephaestus7, has passed the DNS story to the UN’s Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which is believed to be conducting a high-level inquiry into “grave or systemic violations” of the rights of disabled people by the UK government. Julie Newman, acting chair of the UK Disabled People’s Council, tweeting at @achairukdpc, said the DNS story showed there had been a “shameful cost in human life”, but DWP was “constantly in denial and never seem to [be] held to account” for the failures of its social security policy. Another leading disabled activist, Ian Jones, @edwinmandella, one of the founders of the WOWcampaign, tweeted: “Drip, drip, drip. ConDem policies are killing disabled people and slowly the proof is emerging.” The social affairs journalist Frances Ryan, @frances_ryan, described the DNS story as “huge”, while @hawkins_carole tweeted: “Only 60, how many hundreds are they not investigating!!!!!!!!!!!!!” And campaigner Sue Marsh, a key member of the Spartacus online network, said on her blog: “If this story isn’t picked up by the mainstream media, they are as complicit in the outrageous cover up of this crisis as [work and pensions secretary] Iain Duncan Smith himself.” Meanwhile, a public meeting in David Cameron’s Witney constituency in Oxfordshire will this week hear from the sisters of two disabled men who died through lack of food after having their benefits removed. David Clapson had been “sanctioned” because he missed two DWP appointments, while Mark Wood, who was a Green party member and a constituent of the prime minister, lost his ESA and housing benefit because he had been found fit for work by Atos. Wood’s sister Cathie and Clapson’s sister Gill Thompson will share a platform at the meeting, organised by the Green party, at 7.30pm on Thursday 27 November at Langdale Hall, Market Square, Witney. 20 November 2014 |

By:
well, what do you think?A gov't which is systematically responsible for the murder of its own citizens. Not only that, but the most vulnerable of those citizens.
|
|
By:
Tony - I asked this before but you didn't respond..
How much do you want the Govt to give you personally in benefits. Give me a figure please including all benefits in kind as well. Deduct any tax paid. Thanks. |
|
By:
why are you making my concern over the govt's actual murders PERSONAL, Injera? hm?And can you actually prove that the dwp have not been responsible for untold suffering and hardship, the likes of which havent been seen since the welfare state was formed?
|
|
By:
And what right has any wealthy person to ever comment upon the kind of lives these unfortunate souls are leading?
|
|
By:
Tony.
Murder is to plan and execute the death of someone or people. You'd come across with more credibility if you'd drop ridiculous accusations of murder against the government. What possible motive could they have for murdering people? |
|
By:
Who said I was wealthy??
I'll ask you again.. How much do YOU want personally from this or any govt in benefits? |
|
By:
they have planned and are executing doc. Or have I posted the above list for nothing? They despise the lower classes, they are leaving thousands of people destitute. Such people have been punished with the ultimate sacrifice when, through no fault of their own, they have become ill, and i say again that NOBODY in this country for whatever reason, should be treated in such a way. Ill people should not have to undergo constant trials and be forced to wait for up to 12 months for pip benefit. The people who cheat the system are in a MINORITY whatever shyte you post up, just like there is also a MINORITY of very wealthy people who also cheat the system as u very well know.
As for Injera, I refuse to answer your question because it has no bearing whatsoever on the reasons behind this thread. As a christian (you are one are you not?) you should be actually asking why it is that thousands of sick people, some of whom are mentally ill, see not future for themselves other than to end their own lives, when a cruel cvunt of a gov't has ended their benefits. For me to even have to argue these points at all is an indictment of a very sick society that has gone very wrong - albeit in a small microcosm of a wider group of very very uncaring people. |
|
By:
also doc it isnt just myself who is calling them murderers, which they most certainly are, dunc smith appears to be undergoing such accusations now wherever he sets foot.
|
|
By:
and before long , someone WILL go for him.
|
|
By:
Tony you're getting wilder.
|
|
By:
'wilder, doc?' wonder why. This is for you, injera.
Proverbs 14:31 “He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” Isaiah 10:1-3 “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?” |

^Yes but Christ said ''take up thy bed and walk''
Not ''get yourself down to the jobcentre and put in a fraudulent claim for Disability Benefit'' |
|
By:
Government tries to reduce benefit fraud. Tony responds by accusing them of murder and quoting the bible.
His credibility is zero. |
|
By:
so, you would seriously say that they arent murderers then when it has been proven that I D S's and dwp reforms have contributed to the deaths at the top of this thread, plus many which are probably unreported? Try opening your mind, and eyes, read up and see the truth of all that is happening instead of blindly standing up for a party which has sunk to new levels of depravity in its attacks on the vulnerable.
Also, if you read properly, you will see my bible quotes are aimed specifically at Injera, you fecking imbeciles! Doc is the one who's credibility is zero, because he keeps going on about fradulent claims when people are dying on a daily basis. |
|
By:
On more thing, dr crippen. If i were in the luxurious position, like some of the ACTUAL fraudulent bankers, ie had their wealth; I wouldnt give a chinese toss about the tiny amount of people who were fraudulently claiming such a meagre amount from my taxes.Because its part of life. Same as royals on luxury yachts is.

|
By:
java id love to see how ud react if one of your relatives had decided to kill themselves after the dwp had stopped their benefits for say, not attending some assessment, leaving them destitute, But then, maybe the java family would all pool their resources and chip in to help out, eh.
|
|
By:
People have killed themselves after they've lost their jobs, others after being ditched by their lover.
Are employers murderers, are fickle lovers murderers? |
|
By:
After you have dried your eyes and wrung your hankey out perhaps you'd like to answer Crippen's question Tony because your hysterical rants will only fool the gullible. You claim to have proven a link when you clearly haven't. There may indeed be a link in some cases but it is no more murder than if an employer or girlfriend (blow up dolls don't count) dump you. Of course there will be problems when a company is assessing many hundreds of thousands of people claiming they are unfit to work. Especially when it has been proven that many are indeed fit for work. Where mistakes are made that is what the appeals process is for. Some people who have mental health issues will indeed find the whole experience too much. I agree that the assessors need to approach people will proven mental health issues carefully but they still have to do their job.
|
|
By:
the fact is they are leaving an increasing number of people completely destitute and are not sticking to what they said they would do ie. HELPING - YES HELPING - the people who need it most. The reason they are murderers is because it has been planned, and the dwp have forced the likes of jobcentre staff and formerly - atos - to reach targets. ie, get a certain amount of people off benefits mo matter what the cost and that cost hs resulted in deaths, not just the odd one but possibly thousands.
You tell me to asnwer questions without answering yourselves or attemtping to go and read sites such as the gov't v the people. Where you will find adequate proof of all that i have been pointing out. BTW I see what u did there with the blow-up doll, bit. ha ha ... |
