buccini, is it a game that you've ordered from Amazon.
And do you have to catch a delivery driver to start (bit like throwing a 6 in ludo to start)?

Want to sympathies with you, but why would a different driver do this out of spite?

So it's a smallish item. I can't figure out why these driver's get so close to your house then do one without delivering said item?

Forget a camera, film the feckers on yer fone!

I received an email back and she's spoken to the depot manager, who was said to be pretty upset and is going to speak to both drivers, so that's something.

These firms charge you for making fone calls.
Go online and find a free number option.
Don't let customer services fob you off.

Ring ring and ring again if you have to...Good luck Grin

"I don't believe it, it's happened again!!! I heard a van pull up, so I went over to my window to see if it was my delivery and saw a different driver walking to the gate, and he actually had a parcel in his hands this time. However to my amazement he then took a quick photo of my house, turned around and started jogging back to his van. So I ran downstairs and legged it out the front door as fast as I could, and shouted out to him a few times just before he got in his van, and he definitely heard me, but he completely blanked me and drove off. I can only assume that it was on record that I'd made a complaint and he decided to do it again just out of spite."

I've told them to return it to Amazon, and been told that they cannot compensate me for the inconvenience.

Arrange to collect it from their depot, copy an image of their depot off Google Earth, send it to their customer services and say that nobody was in reception when you showed up at the arranged time

If you were watching when the bloke took a picture of your house - shouldn't you be in the picture of the 'empty' house
glaring out of the window looking disappointed?

No we have net curtains (not my choice). The good news is that I complained about them to Amazon and they're going to send some replacement items tomorrow. The bad news is that they can't assign delivery companies to individual customers, which means that it could well be the same company delivering them again. So stay tuned for the next instalment on Friday afternoon :-)

One thing is certain, we will never get an explanation for this kind of bizarre behaviour. Never will it be possible to unravel the mystery of
just what is going on.

The driver may get paid for making a delivery attempt, on 40% of such attempts the householder may be out, so to make up time he just photos the house and carries on thinking they were probably out anyway.

I've just been reading some reviews of this delivery company and I found this negative review that was posted earlier today. It seems I'm not alone:

"i have spent most of the afternoon on the phone to the helpline as the delivery man did not knock at all and it has been confirmed by the tracker that he was only outside for 30 seconds and claimed he tried 'ringing the bell' however we don't nor have we ever had a door bell so this was clearly a lie only proving more that he did not even attempt to get any of our attention, there were three of us in the house at the time and none of us heard a knock. Not to mention the fact that I specifically put an extra instruction when filling out the delivery form that if no one was in to leave it in the shed which he clearly chose to ignore, also the parcel was only a lightweight jacket so could quite clearly fit through the letterbox. I was tracking the order most of the morning and it said it was 15 minutes away then suddenly it said 'sorry no one was present to sign the delivery' even though i read this whilst in my front room! I then rang the delivery service only to be greeted by an extremely rude man on the other end of the phone who acted extremely unprofessionally and laughed about it when I don't actually find it funny as i paid £6 for my delivery to arrive today and that is when I expect it to arrive. I am disgusted by the service and have never experienced anything like this with royal mail deliveries it seems your employees cannot follow simple instructions or even knock on a customers door. I find this insulting and rude. The reason why I ordered it with next day delivery was because I NEEDED it today as I am going to london tonight for a week, on top of the stress caused I know have to drive miles out of my way and waste my petrol to pick up a parcel that should be in my house now! All this trouble could have been saved if your employee could manage to knock on a door. I expect at least a full refund on the delivery cost."

I sympathise with all delivery drivers actually - after driving all that way ......and then they're 'NEVER EVER' home.....neither are the neighbours nine times out of ten! (this is their job!)

XDP are the cnunts I had to deal with

apparently I'm not the only one who is not happy and they are still as bad as when I encountered them 12 months ago.

It's not hard to guess the people giving them 5*'s are people associated with XDP

By:

Trust me this is not a wind up. I've posted a review on Trust Pilot using my real name, and the more I read about this delivery company the more I find that this practice goes on all the time.

Someone from the company contacted me this morning after reading this review and said that they will personally make sure that I receive the next parcel if they are the ones that will be delivering it.

However I've just received an email saying that the original parcel, ie the one I've asked to be sent back to Amazon, will be delivered today between 16.48 and 17.48. So the incompetence continues and they've managed to annoy me yet again.

When he appears next time, grab him and claim your prize.

From Wikipedia ...

Lobby Lud is a fictional character invented in August 1927 by the Westminster Gazette, a British newspaper, now defunct. The name derives from the paper's telegraphic address, "Lobby, Ludgate". Anonymous employees of the newspaper visited seaside resorts. The paper printed details of the town, a description of that day's Lobby Lud and a pass phrase. Anyone carrying the newspaper could challenge Lobby Lud with the phrase and receive five pounds (about £260.00 in 2014).[1][2] People on holiday were known to be less likely to buy a newspaper. Some towns and large factories had holiday fortnights (called "wakes weeks" in the north of England); the town or works would all decamp at the same time. Circulation could drop considerably in the summer and proprietors hoped prizes would increase it.

But only if you live at the seaside and he's carrying a copy of the Westminster Gazette.

Or you could buy a high powered rifle from Amazon and ... sorry it wouldn't get there.
