Good news
..we are sending three tornado aircraft for humanitarian effortsand we may even consider a "small numer" of Chinook helicopters. You contrast this with what we sent to Iraq for invasion, Afghanistan, and even to attack Libya rather more than this I feel. That tells me where our priorities lie. We so much prefer killing Muslims to helping them ![]() |

If it were only Isis, I may agree case, but unfortunately since I know we would kill lots of ordinary
Sunni Muslims I cant ![]() But I think we can seal the Christians and Kurds off from them..be it with air and/or ground forces, that I approve Also of course because Christian countries have attacked Muslim countries, and killed a fair number of Muslims, Christians in these country will become a target, also happening in Pakistan. As always i war a lot of innocents suffer and die. Why I do not approve of it...except in DEFENCE...we never attack another country. It is disappointing to me to see our own society adopting this approach. ![]() Although I do believe we have a right to prevent genocide, but little else. |

this attacking other countries approach, that is what disappoints me
Also the US writing in its foreign policy as it did in the early 90's bring down Iraq.....I regard that as an undeclared declaration of war...and I doubt that Iraq is the only name on the list This is arrogance, and possible megalomania. |

There is a type of person who if you say something slightly unusual or differing from
their world view or set of beliefs you will see a look of concern come over their face. They are confused and become adutated and may even resort to violence. Alias has an almost uncanny ability not to understand a differing viewpoint. It is not a case of dissagreeing but a complete inability to grasp the meaning. |

Alias has an almost uncanny ability not to understand a differing viewpoint. It is not
a case of dissagreeing but a complete inability to grasp the meaning. Says the poster who believes nothing of note or good or any value has ever come from Islamic countries or culture. lfc, once again, are you a fan of FRANCO? |

By:
Polybot, you have completely failed to recognise the gist of my post regarding forced conversion, preferring instead to split hairs and launch another of your inane, insulting blurtings for its own sake.

Chairman Mao, Stalin, Paul Pot, a few that didn'tcross Alias's mind..athough Franco did for some reason. The reason being he was a mass murderer. Political executions took place in Spain as late as 1969, 30 years after the end of the civil war. I happen to have a close affinity with Spain, so is that OK? Oh, lfc1971. Please tell us the meaning of "adutate". ![]() |

One should never criticise spelling in arguments or debate.
They will always come unstuck sooner or later, then look rather silly when I spot them. ![]() |

Isn't the meaning of his post obvious alias? It happens all the time on the politics forum. People sobbing because a bad baastard like Pinochet murdered a few thousand and totally oblivious to the suffering of tens of millions under people like Stalin and Mao. Dozens upon dozens of breast beating posts about Israel/Palestine and yet you have to drag any opinion from them about some of the many other conflicts which go on around the world.
It's a bit daft in my view to see the world in terms of left and right wings but if you do then you will leave yourself open to accusations of hypocrisy if you only criticise right wing murdering baastards. The left have killed plenty more. |

Thanks Eo, you have understood...that is my point about soeone critizing spelling but completely blind to meaning

If I recall he mentioned Hitler, The Japanese generals and Franco! not even castro.

That would be fine but alais takes if further by implying the japanese generals were
not members of the masonic lodge..silly billy :-) |

Of course before christianity in S. America their preferred form of religion included human sacrifice, but
I am sure alais will have factored this in before critizing the european powers. |

Perhaps you missed the post below in answer to your point about Stalin etc. Here it is again. Did you conveniently miss it lfc1971, or are you just stupid?
Alias 11 Aug 14 21:22 Joined: 28 Jul 02 | Topic/replies: 4,663 | Blogger: Alias's blog NO, I agree lfc1971. None of them were Freemasons either, and all were nutcases. Have you missed the gist? Is Franco a hero of yours? Have you figured out any of the good stuff from the Islamic/Arab world yet? ..................................................................................................................................... In case you don't understand: YES, Stalin, Pol Pot etc were murdering nutters. OK? Now, lfc, answer please, are you a fan of Franco? You seem very irritated that I mentioned him. |

Are you saying that because the Aztecs et al performed human sacrifice, that it was OK for the conquistadors to turn up and maim and murder and force conversion to Christianity? Because the N American indians weren't so technologically advanced as Europe, was it OK to kill them and steal their land and slaughter the buffalo, thus causing mass starvation? |

Just as well, you've confused yourself enough.

sounds like WMD. Create a scare to justify some action. Looks like the actions are no longer needed so downgrade the scare |

13 Aug 14 16:59 Because the N American indians weren't so technologically advanced as Europe, was it OK to kill them and steal their land and slaughter the buffalo, thus causing mass starvation? HISTORICAL OBJECTION Buffalo Bill never killed a single buffalo. There were none in America, he killed plenty of bison though. |

Fine cmat. The beast is popularly known as buffalo, nevertheless. W F Cody reportedly shot c 5,000.

The destruction of the bison/buffalo had a great affect on the indigenous Indian population
this was was their main food source The sad reality was their land was just tempting for us whites "We cannot leave it to these savages" we thought...The whites broke every treaty we had with the Indians. Finally Tecumseh Sherman (of marching through Georgia infamy) was tasked with bringing all Indian tribes of the mid west onto reservations He actually expressed some sympathy for the Indian cause, but as he far as he was concerned it had to be done. A highly gifted commander, but he never shirked from being ruthless when necessary The Apaches were the last to come in, they had little choice. |
|
By:
Sheridan did most of the ground work in the Indian wars....Sherman just oversaw it all
We needed the land for our cattle, this was big business, so basically the bison/buffalo had to go The Apaches being more to S.West held out longer, because the more rocky suited terrain them. But in the end it was their undoing, because of the bright Sun. The Cavalry started using mirrors as the Indians did themselves to communicate over distance, enabling them to coordinate their attacks better. They had to finally come into their reservations. |

"If the white man wants to live in peace with the Indian, he can live in peace. Treat all men alike. Give them all the same law. Give them all an even chance to live and grow". CHIEF JOSEPH "If the Great Spirit had desired me to be a white man he would have made me so in the first place. He put in your heart certain wishes and plans, and in my heart he put other and different desires. It is not necessary for eagles to be crows". SITTING BULL "All we wanted was peace and to be left alone. Soldiers came and destroyed our villages. Then Long Hair came... They say we massacred him, but he would have done the same to us. Our first impulse was to escape but we were so hemmed in we had to fight". CRAZY HORSE |

![]() We would make a treaty, the white settlers ignored it and moved onto their land anyway The Native Americans attacked them in defence of their territory, the settlers would make a plea to government "protect us" in came the cavalry an appalling injustice the modern US ignores and forgets although I notice it is very quick to condemn others |
