Dear me - that is the whole point

There are many posters offering theories but you are getting upset when someone challenges them, talk about trying to silence the minority.

Bug ger the Scottish and European referendums; i'd rather have one on whether or not the McCanns did it.....alternatively mori or yougov should conduct regular polls and publish results.

As a member of 'the public', I would like to point out that we don't all have our doubts about the McCanns.
I will accept that the majority of posts on this site/thread are intended to blame or accuse them of something or other but there are lots of posters on here who think the Moon landings were faked and that 9/11 was a 'Black Ops' jobbie!
I imagine that some people think all three to be true. Each to their own, I suppose.

I have said this before on this very thread..... that unless someone comes clean and tells the world what really happened it will always remain one the biggest mysteries of our time.

We can all speculate, we can all question every different scenario and then join every different dot which has been put down here there and everywhere but the sad true story of the poor little girl who vanished without trace all those years ago will remain without conclusion.

Many of the contributors to the thread will have thier own idea about what possibly happened to her, however, personally, I have yet to have been able to piece together a situation in my minds eye which fits all the necessary criteria... something is always missing.. something which just doesn't quite add up. Maybe it will always be that way ??

Yes he sums it up nicely, but in uk you cannot hear another "theory" other than the "abduction theory". So UK public cn speculate knowing half the facts, nice! I see The Times, belatedly, is leading the way, but which paper or media outlet will print Smiths account that he was 60-80% sure the man he saw holding the baby is Gerry Not 1 single one in 6 years, even though it is in the publicly available police files.

I find it surprising that no photos or videos ever emerged from that night or even from any other night they were there

Those dogs have the ability to sniff out historical blood - the dogs owners words on that video, that was a rented apartment god knows how many people have stayed there

The Portuguese case team were therefore concerned to ascertain whether the cash machine transaction and the call were related and whether they linked to Madeleine's disappearance.
As you know, in considering requests for coercive measures the Secretary of State must consider necessity and proportionality. On the basis of the information before me, the request for evidence relating to Mr McCann's Mastercard accounts for a 6 month period has not been fully justified and appears disproportionate. Were you to provide further information justifying this 6 month period or, at least in the first instance, refine your request to a period immediately prior to and following the day of the alleged sighting, I would be more than happy to look at this part of the request again.

Protecting? you may want to dig through the archives, their lives were made hell by british papers at one point.

Thats not what i said mange ,your implying something i did not say ,i am not suggesting it was Our fault i just thought it was worth a reminder it is a serous subject and as to how it has ended up ? how has it ended up and who is to blame for how it ended like it has ? hopefully now its the  begining of the end

As for the whole nation praying ,Thats a huge  assumption on your part mange .

hoping and wishing ...but praying ?  the last pope upon visiting the uk said we were a nation of atheists and compared us to nazis ....his words .

as i mentioned earlier the faith of the McCanns was quickly put to the fore and it was Jerald's  vision at the temple of  fatima which gave him the energy to start making phone calls ,he seen  light at the end of the tunnel .

The whole  fatima thing is very strange and worth a look ,also if you view the video of the McCanns  in portugal in the days after the disappearance .They were  telling the people to pray for them he made very clear reference to praying things worked out for them (us) and Madelaine and that if she was dead she would be in a better place .

all very strange stuff .

If they ever find her alive, a lot of people on this thread will look proper charlies.
