Pumpy, I think that's just a promotional shot from a few years ago (possibly when the Icelanders were in charge). I'm almost sure Stoke don't sell Wrights pies as they'd be promoting it in their blurb as 'Official pies for SCFC' - but they never do.

had a nice one years ago at Halesowen Town. It was a Tikka Masala pastie and they claimed they were the first club to ever do them. Could have been true as it was the mid 80's.

On a full-size football pitch, how long is the straight edge of the "D" on the edge of the penalty area? Is 16 yards You can work it out using Pythagoras Penalty spot to the edge of the arc is 10 yard Penalty spot to the edge of the area is 6 yards Those two lines form two sides of a right-angle traingle, along with half the straight edge of the D Hypoteneuse is 10 yards Shortest side is 6 yards Remaining side (half the D) is 8 yards (it's a 3:4:5 triangle) Therefore the straight edge of the D is 16 yards, or 48 feet |
