I was convinced Rick Astley was black for about 2 weeks till he was on TOTP.
When I was about 10, there was a phone box with a pane kicked in and the shatterproof glass all in small bits. Me and my mate got a bucket and rushed back to grab it all convinced, with the law of averages and all that, that there must be a diamond in there somewhere. |

Somewhat bizarrely, a drunken Irishman convinced himself that I was Rick Astley in 1999ish. I tried to tell him that he was wrong, but it just made him even more sure that I was the SAW crooner. All in the Aussie backwater that is Coff's Harbour.

Superman I shows the course of Superman's life from his landing on Earth as a baby to the start of his superheroics at the age of 30.
I used to think they'd filmed the first bit when Christopher Reeve was a baby too, then waited for a few years, then filmed the next bit and so on over the course of three decades. Now I come to relate the tale, I realise I was just being silly. I mean, how would they even have known he was going to be an actor? |

Wotta fabulous thread!!
When I was 17 took my (younger) girlfriend to a pub in Coed-y-Paen* - her first, and reluctant, time. She was astounded to find it full of 'normal' people. Her deeply religious parents, who also allowed no TV, had told her only prostitutes and evil men went to 'those places'. (*rush to google maps then lol) |
