I thought there was a time in history when the world became colourful, and by the fact old pictures were in black and white, the future must be getting even more colour.

When I first started going in betting shops I was impressed by the knowledge of horseracing everyone seemed to have and thought they must be making a few quid.

Then I noticed some of them wore the same clothes all the time and had elastoplast holding their broken glasses together.

Im not sure i should tell a forum but....

When i was young (under 10) i used to think Graham Dilley was blind, when he ran up and bowled he used to roll his foot over and drag it near the crease, it was probably his albino look that made me think this way. My brother still ribs me to this day.

When I was a kid I was interested in astronomy. I knew what a planet was, but I had absolutely no idea what a building society was. When I saw one called the "Planet Building Society", I used to wonder how did they build planets! I almost had the guts to go in and ask them, because I wanted to join!

I used to think, very briefly in my defence, that the "betfair christmas hamper", "chit chat end of year awards", "chit chat christmas party" etc were genuine.

Cue hilarious "oh they were genuine but you just didnt qualify for one, werent nominated and werent invited" etc responses.

There was a shop near us when I was a  kid. They used to advertise what was on sale whitewashed on the window.

One day it said '5lb Pots 3d' so I went in and asked to buy a load of  plates for threepence for me mum.

They meant potatoes. Oh how they laughed.

When I was about seven I asked my mum how much you could write a cheque for and she said however much you want. Then I asked her how much chequebooks cost and she said they were free.

Based on this information, I devised a clever plan to become absolutely minted when I was old enough to have a chequebook of my own.

I recall an instance at junior school, I was aobut 8/9, when our form teacher asked where the M1 motorway went.

For some obscure reason I was convinced it was Southend.

When I answered, nobody laughed, as they didn't know either.
