Tough one this, but have to go for the last few years in tennis. Watching the best 4 male tennis players ever, all play at the same time against each other has just been simply magnificent.

The original panache and dominance of Fed, the emergence of Rafa and his incredible development form clay to hard court and then grass.  Then Djokovic and his incredible 2011 performance when he lifted capability and consistency to the highest level ever.  And now, maybe the final chapter as Murray may even trump them all (but lots and lots to prove).

Long may these rivalries continue.

That I've actually seen live I can't seperate these four - Shergar's Derby, Best Mate's third Gold Cup, Slippy Blue's Derby, Devon Malcolm's 9-57 against S.A. at The Oval.

Seen on tv - Dancing Brave's Arc, Steve Redgrave winning his fifth gold.

Agree with the Tennis

id go
Fed v Nadal in Wimbledon 2008

The Duel in the Sun 1977, Nicklaus was tied for the lead at halfway shot something like 65-66 in the last 2 rounds and got beaten, best head to head in golf that i saw

Italy v Brazil, World Cup 1982, virtual 1/4 Final, between one of the greatest sides to watch, who then got undone by some sublime finishing from Rossi, heartbreak

Fight of the Century, Ali Frazier 1, Madison Square Garden, Brutal, anthe build up simmered nicely for ages, when boxing was popular, half the world wanted to see these two

1968 olympics, used to put the tv on every morning before I went to school and watch what had happened overnight. At that time did't know much about any other athletes apart from the British ones. One morning the first clip was of Bob Beamon's jump - WOW!!!!!!!

Murray is not one of the 4 best ever tennis players Kev.

I was at Best Mates 3rd gold cup. I've never been somewhere that had an atmosphere like it.

The Ryder cup last year would take some beating....

Live... Luton 3 west ham 2 qf of the cup 1994, scotty oakes hat trick.  Me and my best mate behind the goal as he scored the winner, absolutely delirious.  Watching frankel at ascot and wiggins on a union jack and st george covered champs elysses was great and then watching us beat the injuns india for the first time in 28 years, all this year was great too

On tv... Germany 1 england 5' rugby world cup final 2003, ashes 2005, olympics 2012.  Mo farah prob the best of the olympics for me.

On radio.... 2010/11 ashes drinking wine all night listening to us annihilate them all through a freezing winter was so warming.

In the flesh, a couple of League Cup Finals in the 90's, but mostly racing: Best Mate's 3rd Gold Cup, Peintre Celebre's Arc, One Man's Sandown King George and later Champion Chase (real lump in throat time, loved the horse). Was good to see Frankel's last race too.

The first Cheltenham I had to miss for 7 or 8 years had the Edredon Bleu v Direct Route Champion Chase, one of, if not the best finish ever.

On TV, Red Rum's third National footage still reminds me how I got fascinated in the first place. Hagler v Hearns, Headingley in 81, France V West Germany in 82, Benn v McClellan are a few that spring to mind.

A few in the flesh my first Cheltenham Gold Cup, also Best Mate's 3rd CGC, seeing the ball come in my direction (admittedly I was a long way up) and nestle into the corner of the net when Sniffer scored the goal, seeing Mark Viduka scoring all the goals in the 4-3 win was good but to then watch him getting his MOM after a delay of about 1/2 hour due to worldwide TV interviews then signing autographs for about the same length of time (he shook everyones hand & said thank you after he had signed What a top man!)

All pale into insignificance at seeing my children winning their medals at their sports

I was only 13 , but my Dad took me to the 1976 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. Crash at the first corner caused a re-start but the officials wouldn't let James Hunt restart as they said he hadn't copmpleted the first lap. There was nearly a riot as me,and 100.000 other fans started chanting "we want Hunt". Fearing trouble, the stewards allowed him to race, and Hunt went on to win after Lauda retired. Hunt was disqualified 2 months later after an appeal by Ferrari, but I have never experienced atmosphere like it since (and I was at Best Mates 3rd Gold Cup, and Desert Orchids last King George)

Can't wait till next year when Ron Howards film RUSH, about the 1976 F1 season hits the big screen.

FA Cup Semi-Final 2011 Stoke City v Bolton
Bolton were flying high with Coyle being tipped to replace Wenger as Arsenal manager. Most the pundits saw this as a win for Bolton, I was expecting a tight win. So never expected a 5-nil beating of Bolton to reach our first FA Cup final in our history. Great day out as well with mates and drinks.

When she was on Frank Skinner she said that she often did a No 2 while running as she didnt have time to stop. FS went on to joke that someone was probably trying to sell her No 2 on Ebay.

And I was 12 and there with my Dad too!! Just remember the crowd going nuts on a boiling hot day and the incredible noise of the engines. Fantastic stuff. Went the following year too when Hunt won for real.
