The nadal - rosol match at wimbledon 2012, if ur not a tennis fan, u probabaly wont pay too much attention to this pick, but for a player ranked exactly 100 in the world at the times to knock out out an 11x slam winner and five time wimbledon finalist was unthinkable, but it was the way he played that was unreal, every single shot almost was a smashed winner, almost missing nothing, sometimes in lower ranked tournies loweer ranked players can beat the top 4 in the best of 2 sets, esp when the motivation is lower to win, but to beat nadal in 5 sets !wow. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Live- Foe me has to be Simon Kerrigan taking 9 wickets for Lancs vs Hampshire on the fourth and final day of the game last year at Aigburth. The last wicket coming in the penultimate over of the day (after the Hants last pair had held out for an hour) to keep Lancs in the hunt for the elusive title which they clinched the following week

I was at Anfield for the second leg of the Champions League semi final in 2005 v Chelsea. An atmosphere that has never been matched or come close too being matched in the hundreds of games i have attended including FA Cup and Champions league finals.

Best mate's 3rd gold cup was fantastic to be part of, as was Frankels demolition of the field in the Juddmonte at York. Crowds were at the parade ring whilst the race prior was being run and if he was still parading up and down the straight now im sure the punters would still be there lauding him.

On television Hagler v Hearns was and will always be the most brutal fight of the modern age.

So many of us were at Cheltenham to see Best Mate win his third Gold Cup and that's great to see. If you all rememeber it was a filthy day, cold, grey and raining. We were sorting out our placepots and my brother said to me did I want to go halves on his which came to £128. I had already done mine and said no. Anyway, I got busted on my perm and after the last race we were in the tote queue in the rain to pick his ticket up. At the time he nor I had any idea what the dividend was when the tote girl said those immortal words,"do you want cash or a cheque." We looked at each other and started laughing, he said cash please and she paid him just under 5 grand. The night ended up being a bit messy and that's putting it mildly, great memory though and the roar of the crowd when BM got home was truly unforgettable. What a day that was.

I am afraid, philistine that I am, that I cannot remember the highlight of my sports viewing career because it was probably some old horse that I had been following for yonks and had decided that today was his day.  I cannot remember offhand their names, so long ago, but I am sure fellow horseracing fanatics would know what I mean.  I loved it when an old stager, particularly over the jumps, tried his heart out and won some piddly little race.

In recent years, the highlight of my sporting life has to be the last day of the 2005 Ashes series.

I am a huge cricket fan, but as I am also a fúcking idiot I missed out on Ashes tickets for the first four days of all five Tests cos they'd gone on sale in October and November 2004 and I didn't realise.

Luckily, the Oval (for the first time) were selling fifth-day tickets for £10 each, in January 2005. I bought ten, sold four on eBay for £35 each (while the Oval were still selling them for £10 each, amazingly!) and pretty much forgot about them. Then it all came down to that day.

And that day (September 12, 2005 - I don't need to look it up) had it all. One of the greatest days in English sporting history. All I would say about the day that you lot will not know is that I am on TV - cowering (and kicking over a freshly-poured pint) as my mate two seats down from me drops one of Kevin Pietersen's sixes!

:: Everton 4 Liverpool 4 in 1991. Everton trailed four times and came back four times. Dalglish quit two days later. Incredible.
:: Australia v South Africa's tied Cricket World Cup semi-final in 1999. I was in the press box, and when the game ended (with a chaotic run out) and Australia celebrated getting through to the final, all of us in the press box knew they'd won, but no one knew why they'd won!!!
:: France beating New Zealand in the 1999 Rugby Union World Cup semi-final - though as a gorgeous girl I'd been chasing for six months had finally noshed me off the night before, I wasn't that bothered
:: Shane Warne's "Ball of the Century" against Mike Gatting. Gatting couldn't believe he'd been bowled. He had to be (almost literally) dragged off the pitch. I can still hear the gasp that went round the ground when the replay was shown on the big screen.

:: Everton beating Manchester United in the 2009 FA Cup semi-final.
:: Everton beating Watford in the 1984 FA Cup final. I was seven years old at the time and I still remember my dad comforting two Watford fans in front of us who were crying. "It's OK - you'll win something soon." He was a lying bástard.
:: Everton winning the league in 1985 by beating QPR 2-0. If only I'd known back then that my team wasn't going to win a trophy almost every season!
:: Albertas Run winning the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham in 2010. I had unbelievably bad luck in my first few visits to a horse racing track - I didn't back a winner in any of my first four meetings - so when Albertas Run went up that hill and my 14/1 bet copped, I felt amazing. Goosebump-tastic.
:: Burnham 2 Canvey Island 1 - FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay, November 2005. Burnham were three divisions below Conference club Canvey, but they got a 1-1 draw there. In the replay, Burnham came from behind to be level at 1-1 at half time, then they got a man sent off for a second yellow 20 seconds into the second half. Burnham, amazingly, held their own and launched an attack in the 90th minute. They got into the Canvey box, their centre-back dived in, the Burnham striker was clattered, penalty given, penalty deposited into the top corner, final whistle, celebrations. The first time Burnham had got to the FA Cup first round. A special moment.

Aside from watching my daughters win World U-23 and Paralympic Gold medals, actually being there live would be 'did I just see that' moments like Masterminded's first Champion Chase win or emotionally draining events such as One Man's Champion Chase win or Perian Punch's win in the 2003 Jockey Club stakes. Real boys own stuff.

On TV it would be the Spurs vs Arsenal Cup Semi in 1991, not just because we won playing the best football I've ever seen us play, but because we were going out of business or Maxwell was going to take us over and Arsenal were going for the Double again and were red hot favourites.

I suppose that would have to be football or tennis.

Andy Murray destroying Federer to win Gold at Wimbledon or his US Slam win. Both were brilliant moments, just to shut the haters up.

Or, in football, probably the greatest moment was when Germany beat England 4-2, with Lampard´s goal being chalked off to right a wrong from yesteryear...sweet.
