It's ironic that the police may have not uncovered the body because they were frightened of getting criticised!  I'd say that tactic has gone up in smoke..

The Police are always going to get criticised (like when they wrongly pulled in Chris Jeffries for the Jo Yeates murder) so i have some sympathy with them.  However, they do have some serious questions to answer about how the prime suspect is on the run and possibly a danger to the public.

True Berto. Let's hope Hazell doesn't harm anyone else, or the police will be in an awful lot of trouble.

Hazell doesn't drive and it now a very recognisable face (especially in the area). How far can he get??

Probably killed himself in the woods nearby that they were searching for Tia.

beyond belief

Yes Honkey - but to you or me that is an amazing "talent" to not completely break down under the pressure/scrutiny.

I presume psychologist know that this behaviour, able to do that, means a lack of development in a certain part of the brain, etc?

Mr Hazell said he felt that people were "pointing the finger" at him because he had been the last person to see her. But he said he was confident that a neighbour who told police he saw Tia leave the house alone was genuine as he knew her well and had even been able to describe "the pattern on her top".

So even the neighbours were lying,Scum.

My money is on the step- grandfather being behind it.
Photo in todays paper shows him to be wearing a tee-shirt, hoodie and a jacket. In a mini-heatwave, what's he trying to cover-up? The abundance of clothing would suggest he is trying to protect himself.

unfortunately, proved to be correct, as were a few others on here.

rip young lady and sympathies to the OP's wife.

Should imagine the press will have a field day with another dysfunctional family.

Well he wasn't totally water-tight Monkey. Many here have picked up on his use of the past tense. That wasn't terribly clever of him.

5 Live should hang their heads in shame. Very little time reporting this case. Mucho time covering minority sports.
