Very funny about David Byrne's suit, Dani!

I think a daft suit, any category, is due, Alex!

I think Bob Marley is the absolute b.ollox, but like a lot of people, I know nothing about reggae other than him (and a bit of eddy grant)

Listen to some of the stuff on here, in that case, UTI. 'Most similar' to Marley imo (on here anyway) is Peter Tosh, which is no coincidence as they were both in The Wailers, but this is a great thread to broaden your reggae knowledge imho.

I'll bear it in mind when I finally get my headphones sorted.  Specifically went out to buy an adaptor to extend up from my computer to my ear on the weekend, the spotty 14yo shop assistant told me they didn't sell them but that the "splitter" they had could do the same job.  (it allows two sets of headphones to be plugged into one mp3 player or whatever).  Got it home and it is only about 1foot long, a waste of time.  grrrr

This is a great video of Bob and the Wailers singing Stir it Up live on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1973.

Stir it up is my favourite Marley song.  Had a mate who was all into Bob Marley once and he leant me a couple of his CDs with loads of songs I hadn't heard (to that point I only knew the "Legend" stuff really).  Some cracking songs on there:

African Herbman, Fussin and a fighting, Sun is shining, something about a small axe and a big tree amongst plenty of othersothers.  Just absolutely brilliant, shame I don't have any of his CDs anymore.

You'll have to try and get your headphone cable sorted out, UTI, as you miss some good stuff.
KUBE radio was great today - and Sparky wasn't even on (other than by facebooking them with forum stuff) !
You'll have to try and get them sorted for next Tuesday so you can tune in when Spark does his next show.

I really did try at this weekend, was gutted when I got home and the lead was about 1 foot long.  I haven't given up yet.

Good stuff, UTI.
Perhaps Psychic Mutley may know where you can get some with a long enough lead?
