cristo, not sure i see your point, never came across a Manchester United fan who believed Manchester United would send them to heaven for eternity! Not sure winning a championship is what the so called bible referred to when it mentioned paradise My point is going to church is free like going to the British museum. There is a collection plate outside for donations if you want to give money. Churches also do this. No one is forced to give. Money is needed for heating and such like and to pay for the vicar or pastor. Can't see what your problem is. |

cristo, my contention is that there are NO eyewitnesses to anything that happened 2000 years ago that can be relied upon , also if heaven is so wonderful, how is it that nobody is ever in a hurry to get there??? hmmm!!

They turn a blind eye to any evidence that doesn't suite them. They ask for evidence and then when it is presented they ignore it, dismiss it or deny it. It's a game they play. There are Christians all around the world irrespective of how many Christians there are in the country. Christianity is growing at a phenomenal rate in China a communists country. The country that I live in is neither hear nor there.I could of just as easily have become a christian in another country. |

I would say the chances of microbes becoming humans from pure science is about as unlikely as a supreme being just rustling us up as a hobby in his cosmic back shed.
