First proper snow on the ground here today, was in York last week where there was plenty but none over here until today. Snowman has been fitted with Blackpool FC gloves.

three and a half hours to travel 5 miles home from Bromley ...........
heavy snow for part of the journey ... battle between the wipers and the snow over my windscreen .... wheels spinning .... car veering towards the left ... rest of the time I was stationary. and shortly after arriving home there's a phonecall from Mrs c-c to say she's stuck in Bromley and could I pick her up. She said she caught a train to Orpington but it dropped her off at Swanley :) she ct one back to Bromley. Victoria, Charing Cross and London Bridge all closed. We reached a compromise ................. she caught a bus. |

Typical weather forcast or lack of it, the forcast was nowhere near this bad, left for home at 4.30, glad I did 30 min later I would still be out there I reckon.

Ingleby Arch has a good record at this course, but not at 7 furlongs, here or anywhere else, it has never been placed in any of it's attempts. Trainer may be ' doing a Prescott' :) running it over the wrong distance to get the handicap mark down. 7.8 win (should have got in last night when people were asking for as low as 4/1 ) :( 2.22 to 2.28 for a place I'm laying it. |

Profits Reality (the fav) is rated 5 stars by Timeform, and has won 2 out of 3 races here. This is his second run back from a break of 60 days or more. Over the years he has had 6 breaks of 60 days or more, and in the run after his comeback, he has won 3 times. Gets a 3 pound penalty for his comeback race, which he won. On form, the 3 pound won't stop him winning again, unless there's a good fibresand horse in the rest of the field. The 4 star nag is a non-runner. Full Toss and Gunslinger are rated 3 stars, and the remaining 2 are rated 2 stars. None of these 4 have been on fibresand before. It's short at 2.44 but looks like it will win. |

Got out at 1.3 for my stake.
Went to 1.18 before it got collared in the last half furlong. Couldn't get a picture on IE, sounded home and hosed two out :( |
