Motown 50 is a cracking album. :)

a) Fair enough, Mu Mu, but thousands would disagree
It's popularity hasn't diminished over time, like many 'classic albums' do

b) Cheers, Cannyman. Agree totally
Checked for Kathy Kirby - indeed there's nothing -
it's probably dependent on who owns her publishing rights at the moment
and for agreement to be reached. There seems to be many pre-1960s songs on there,
so they should eventually be on

c) That was me, Reyes. See Wizard's Albums List and my post afterwards

d) Your tracks have been added, Nirvana

to narrow down to 3 is just madness, no pun.

Cheers, Poppy.

Sinth, I just did three from an early era. Good to have a mix of songs from everybody.

Also, pondering on a 4th Playlist of purely great Summer Songs,
(invoking the forthcoming hopefully glorious Sunshine months ahead)
which I might try and see if I can make collaborative.

Some extra artists added to Spotify this weekend

The 3 Chit-Chat Playlists have gone pretty well.

Here's another one with a Summer theme, but this time it's Collaborative:

http://www.yourspotify.com/2009/04/23/chit-chat-summer-of-sexy-09/

Summer's on it's way and you can add your favourite Summer sunshine tracks

Click the link and open the Playlist (Full Spotify instructions at the very beginning of this thread)
But I've made it fully interractive, so everyone's welcome to add their own choices to the list,
as and when they want to (load your song, right click 'Save to...' and add)

I've started it off with 3 of my own favourites

They appear not to like the word Sexy
(now we know what the Betfair Police do in their spare time)

The above link is the NEW one. Does it work?

It should still be Collaborative. Add your own tracks

Thanks very much for testing it for me you two

Can't find the original of 'Boys of Summer' though... though there's millions of dodgy cover versions of it

Boys of Summer is the awesome Don Henley summer anthem.

I've added the Russ Freeman instrumental version meantime but it's not the same. :(

You're right
Checked out The Eagles and there's much nothing there, so that whole lot haven't signed up yet.

(As I've stated on the thread, stuff gets added everyweek - e.g. there was nothing from The Smiths a couple of months ago, but now there's a fair bit)

I'll add Attitude Adjuster's 3 picks soon

In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry

Another treat from that era:

Summer in the City - The Lovin' Spoonful

Poppy - I assume you have to sign up fully to enable this feature?

Do you upload your own CD a/w or is there a library of stuff?
By:
Poppydog.
When: 24 Apr 09 14:02
Not sure what you mean Clockwork
Spotify is explained at the beginning of the thread

You make your own Playlist and there are websites like the one I used that can host your playlist.
There was no registration - just a User Name needed
By:
Clockwork
When: 24 Apr 09 14:05
Poppy - I have spotify. There's an upgrade availbale, which you pay for that cuts out the ads etc. I didn't know if you had to have this level to create shared playlists with CD a/w?

None of my playlists have this.
