Manchester Airport are a disgrace imo. I've just watched on the News passengers arriving back NO FACEMASKS nothing, nothing at all, no screening unlike Heathrow !! What the hell are they playing at. Thats another hundre or so off that flight that will be walking around potentially carrying this swine-flu BUT they won't know it for a few days and by that time to late yet again.
We need to pray that the friends and family of the two Scots have not got this swine flu and that there tests come back negative. If they come back positive we are in real danger of this getting out of control. |

This could break out and only be the mild flu, it could be the 2nd wave that could be the bigger danger. Very tricky times ahead. Unfortunately I'll be a bit limited on the informations updates today as I have do some work. Getting as much done as possible incase I have to take action and refuse to go into work. |

Luckily it only takes me 10 minutes to cycle to work and usually I tend to keep a scarf over my mouth because of petrol fumes from motorists. I'll be definately keeping my scarf up today.
I'm going to take in my own tea and stuff today because you never know who's been where. I might not even buy a paper today incase someone with grubby hands been all over it. I need to select some horses though but maybe I'll se the RP Website, but not a fan. 12-3 shift today :-( |

I'm a bit behind with the news so catching up whilst eating my toast, It's great to hear that the lady from West Middlesex was given the all clear.
What is of concern is the people arriving back are saying they heard nothing about it actually in Cancun (Mexico). This is a disgrace, no wonder it's spreaded so much other in that country. All that are worried about is grabbing the money off the holiday makers. I'd like to ask also some of these hotels are they bringing in dead pigs still with head and skin ect.. and using these to cook with in the hotels? I just wonder wether they caught the swine-flu from the fleash of a dead pigs before it's cooked ? |

A little yes. I hate not getting answers or the correct information. I had an argument with my friend last night that was moaning about all this because she wanted to book a holiday to Mexico for this summer. I told her what a selfish cow she was and rather than think about her own enjoyment think about the lives of others she puts at risk. I told her in no uncertain terms if she goes this summer I won't want to see her for atleast 6 months on her return.

I appreciate that you have the best intentions, and you seem genuinly concerned about a potential (but by NO means substantiated) World health scare. Which is being blown hugely out of all proportion by the media, in order to get increased revenue from frightened people, BUT consider the effect on society if everyone was to behave like you.
There would be stockpiled food, and therefore shortages, no travel or communication, fear and possibly resultant mob rule, loss of jobs, eventually starvation for millions. You are being really silly. |

Which is why the goverments want to play down the risk. Secretly they are giving themselves time to stockpile vaccines and facemasks. If there was an major outbreak you know it will be themselves and rich people who will be saved first.
