See I get the people who spread lies about immigrants, they do that because they hate foreigners, but you just cheerlead for death in general, that's some pretty weird stuff.

Sorry sparky? Did you say something? I'll expect an apology from you. I doubt I will get one as I'm about to make you look silly with this article below.

Thousands of schools could be closed down for weeks on end in an effort to contain swine flu, a leading scientist warned last night.
As the World Health Organisation officially declared the outbreak a pandemic, Government adviser Neil Ferguson said widespread illness could hit pupils returning for the autumn term.

Over the next three to four months up to
35 per cent of the population could be
affected, said Mr Ferguson, an epidemiologist from Imperial College London.
Up to 20 schools in England have already been closed for up to a week due to swine flu outbreaks and it has proved a highly effective method of containing the virus.

Experts say the biggest danger from swine flu would be if the H1N1 virus mutated into a deadlier form, but Dr Chan said it appeared 'pretty stable' and was under 'constant and careful' watch around the world.

No previous pandemic has been detected so early or watched so closely right at the beginning, she said, but countries must maintain 'continuous vigilance'.
One factor which prompted the move to a level six pandemic - the highest - was that in the southern hemisphere the virus seems to be crowding out normal seasonal influenza as winter begins.
Experts have warned that poorer nations face the greatest risk.

Professor Field said the UK was still working to limit the spread. He said: 'We should try to contain the virus because the more people who have got it, the more likely it is to mutate and produce something more serious.
'As we get more cases, we will inevitably get more serious ones who will put pressure on intensive care beds. People who are ill for other reasons may therefore be disadvantaged.'

Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said: 'We must maintain optimum levels of vigilance but there is no cause for alarm. Although the virus is highly contagious, it has not mutated to a more virulent form. In the absence of sustained and widespread community-transmission we should maintain a "business as usual" approach.'

Nevertheless, the death rate is no more than normal flu.

Why would you expect an apology and how do you think you've made me look silly?

I asked you for a source, you said it was private and confidential, and then you posted one!

If it WAS private andconfidential then you're not to be trusted, if it wasn't then you're a liar.

Take your pick really!

Sparky

The above basically backs up what I have heard from my source. There are more than One Goverment Advisor out there.

You said source, you got one and have been made to look silly yet again. You should put more trust in people.
By:
sparkmaster.
When: 18 Jun 09 00:07
No, I asked for a source, and you claimed it was private and confidential.

Then you produced it. You're either a snitch or liar.

You should put more trust in facts.

Same death rate as normal flu. Happens year in, year out (sadly).

Ah so you fail to respond to the facts Sparky. You get the facts put into your face and you can't respond to them, what a pitty therefore I'll take everything you say with a pinch of salt.

Goodnight.

If you are still saying that by Late Feb I will holds my hands up, but will you and the others have the balls to admit you called it all wrong? I doubt it.

When: 18 Jun 09 00:15
Goodnight, but that last post makes no sense.

I asked you for a source.

You replied that you couldn't give it because it was confidential.

I assumed you were lying.

You then posted a link to this supposedly confidential information, which didn't back up your claim.

I pointed that not only did this not support your claim, it also meant you were either a snitch or a liar. I'm going with liar now.

You said goodnight.

Night!

I DO listen Cath, that's why I discredit a source (or souce) that someone's not prepared to name, it's without value. If someone told me you were a predatory paedophile and provided no evidence I'd dismiss it...I assume you'd agree that would be wise?

How many peoples jobs have you los tthen sparky?

Ever signed a private and confidential paper? I don't think it would be very wise to start naming names on here.

You do the maths.

P.S back that next time it runs ;-)

Goodnight again!

I haven't lost anyone's job, whatever that was intended to mean.

Yes, I've signed a confidential paper, I've also realised that the point in doing so is not to break that confidence. Liar or snitch (I'd go 1.01 to the former), it's tragic stuff, all in the name of exaggerating the threat to the public. Nasty stuff, thankfully greeted with the ridicule it merited.
