Thick MORON Visit the HPA site you plank. You are a disgrace, two poor little children have this nast swine flu and your calling it a cold you selfish knob. You must of been born on a chirstmas tee, do you have kids you fool? Cath. So I'm insulting the integrity of 2 poor little children? I'd have HUGE money on you having been 1st in line to sign the book of condolence at Princess Died's funeral, and I'll have that in a double with you buying extra newspapers (well, the Daily Star and the Mirror and Mail) to complement you usual copy of the sun. To make a treble, you're not buying or eating Pork or Pork products, and you're child(ren) are starving because you won't leave the TV or computer long enough to feed them. You are a Fruitcake, unhindered by any semblence of realistic thought, the only addition to your fruitcakeness is that you're Nuts too. Yes I have kids, not that that has anything to do with anything, because like me, and unlike you, they don't live in LaLa land. Your sodding epidemic/pandemic, is little more than a cold. Where are the people with handcarts ringing bells shouting "Bring out your dead"? There aren't any, and do you know why? No, not because of you being extra careful and listening to the advice of Sky News. It's because it isn't serious. I can be called many things, cath. Thick and Moron is not justifiably among them. Have a good read through this thread - Try, and I know this is tricky, absorbing some of the information or reasoning put forward by pretty much everyone EXCEPT yourself, then go and stand in front of a mirror and ask the question, "Who is REALLY the moron?" As I've now tried telling you about 1/2 a dozen times; It's a very good thing everyone is not as neurotic as you. How do you survive when there isn't a crisis? I know you mean well - but honestly, getting some help would be in your best interests. |

I found this weird... Apparently, last December (hearsay as I've found no proof of this date) Panasonic Corp. ordered all of their staff from certain countries (inc South America) to return home due to the threat of a new flu pandemic. According to the BBC, the first known case of this virus was 18th March however, although I cannot find proof that Panasonic ordered the above in December, it is clearly documented throughout the web on 11 February 2009, some 5-6 weeks before the official outbreak... Below is (apparently) the statement issued the day before (10/02/09) and my further research confirms that although the statement has been removed, it has been copied on 'many' other sites as of that date.
To add further weight to the February date, a video was posted on YouTube actually dictating the statement with the video posting date of 11/02/09. These concerns were apparently directed at a new strain of 'bird-flu' that could pass to humans and all of the references remain on that same subject but either way, pulling ALL staff from ALL countries of concern did** my ears when just a few weeks later, this storm hits our headlines... Coincidence? Who knows? Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Panasonic Corp., the worlds largest maker of consumer electronics, ordered Japanese employees in several emerging markets to send their families back to Japan on concern of a potential influenza pandemic. The company in December instructed staff assigned to parts of Asia, Africa, eastern Europe and South America to repatriate their families by September, Akira Kadota, a spokesman for Osaka- based Panasonic, said by telephone today. He declined to comment on the number of employees or households affected. Panasonic may be the first major company to order families home on concern people wouldnt receive needed health care in case of a widespread flu outbreak. A pandemic could kill 71 million people worldwide and lead to a major global recession costing $3 trillion, according to a worst-case scenario outlined by the World Bank in October. This is part of our preparations for a new type of influenza, Kadota said by telephone. We chose areas after considering the prevalence of bird flu, and the capability of medical facilities and access to them. This is not part of the cost cutting. The entire article can be located at: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pi... (not there) and was posted on Feb.10,2009 One can only assume (on face value) that it is pure coincidence but the timing is uncanny! |

I still think the US owned pig farm in Mexico has alot to answer for. Let's hope the people we are sending over and also what the Frenmch are sending over find real strong evidence.
See how Obama explains that one. |

Hello loony, how's your pandemic going?
Were you panicking over nothing yet? |
|
By:
is this worse than bird flu?

Yes

By:
Apparently it isn't Cath... or this wave isn't I should say. In fact, many are saying it isn't as bad as standard flu.
|

At least many of the dead in Mexico are continuing to get better. Death count falling quickly now its rapidly becoming a nonstory isnt it.
Like the interviews over here with people who have it but sound as if they have a weak cold at worst. |
|
By:

See how Obama explains that one. It looks like (in the land of the loony) this is about to become an American led conspiracy of world power by pandemic. Anything rather than say you were over-reacting, panicking over nothng or wrong, eh? |

has there been any confirmed cases in South Africa.
I'm just thinking about the world cup as africans are weak. |

swine flu is for people with sh1t immune systems imo the exact opposite may in fact be true. swine flue may cause a cytokine storm which relies on a strong immune system anyone planning to use supplements or natural immune boosters / antivirals needs to use those which block certain cytokines (tnf-a & il-6) and inhibit neuramindase |
