I have read every single post on this topic and have now decided that it is time to lock myself in a toilet cubicle and masturbate.

You're projecting mate.
Banging on, ranting and wetting themself is what you're doing.

If the body doesn't recognise an illness theres a good chance it'll be ill, whether it's this flu, rubella or any viral disease.

The thing with other, older flu viruses, is they've been caught before so affect less people. This doesn't mean there is a world ending devastaion at hand.
All it means is that a few more people might catch it than might otherwise have done.
And Influeza is not a nice illness. People die from catching it all the time.

As I said, twerp, try taking on board a more sensible, less hysterical viewpoint.

It does go back as far as February. The Mexican authorities thought it was just a bog-standard (but admittedly nastyish) winter flu for quite a while.

Cath don't panic just yet.

Swine influenza is a respiratory disease normally found in pigs but human cases can and do happen.

The current human cases were first reported in Southern California and Texas. Cases of swine influenza have now been confirmed in several countries including Mexico, US, Canada, Spain and the United Kingdom.

This strain of swine influenza contains a combination of genetic material typical to avian, swine and human flu viruses. Transmission of this new swine influenza virus is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu. Antiviral drugs are available which can effectively prevent and treat the infection, most reported cases of this infection outside of Mexico have recovered fully without the need for medical attention or antivirals.
The Health Protection Agency is monitoring this situation closely

... recent laboratory tests, including some by the National Microbiology Laboratory, show that Tamiflu is not effective against the H1N1 virus that causes the common flu. These results raise a troubling question: If Tamiflu didnt work against the common Type A/H1N1 flu virus, will it be an effective against the new H1N1 virus that causes the Mexican variant of swine flu?

Some experts believe it may not and say the faith governments have placed in Tamiflu may be misplaced.
