Can't be bothered to read this thread. Can someone summarise? Did you all end up agreeing?

Morning studyform, sorry to see you're still as paranoid and ranting as ever.
By:
Blackburn
I'm not paranoid, you're just an **. |

Blackburn I knew I wouldn't have to wait long, you sad tossbag, for the name calling to start. Why, you silly arsewipe, do you find it so impossible to post without insulting? It seriously makes your (to be fair, usually completely uninformed and ridiculous waste of typing) point even less valid. Having said that the points (?) made by you are barely worth responding to. Crikey Blackie, he's got you weighed up nicely. Blackie, serious question - why does everybody hate you? |
By:
No one splits opinion quite like Thatcher. No one on this thread is going to change there mind regardless of evidence, argument, proof etc. Which kind of highlights the whole pointlessness of these threads, or indeed of political debate.

Maybe blackburn is one of those no-nonsense, not scared to go against the grain, staight talking good old fashioned something or other. Not afraid to upset people and all that jazz. or he might just be a w.anker. I honestly don't know, barely even heard of him before.

dunno how controversial this might be but for anyone that`s interested - it`s arthur scargills birthday on Monday 11th January - there`s plenty of time to get him a card as I`ve told you now .......

4th street, you're right on the first count, I guess there'll always be those who disagree and like to have a pop, thats fine by me, live by the sword and all that. You'll never find me grizzling like big girls blouses such as studyform.
As for my old mate crippen, on politics he's known as the forum punchbag, he's a silly old fool but completely harmless. |
By:
Rob, have a look on the politics forum.
Wa.nker was the correct summation. |
By:
You need help study, I've empathised with your insecurity before. How awful it must be to throw a tantrum every time somebody sees things differently, a sure sign of weak intellect.
Have a good seeth, twunt (as you would say) |

I was 12yo when Thatcher left government, so though I grew up in thatcher's britain wasn't exactly much of a political animal back then.
I've got to admit my instinct with Thatcher is to say that if you are a union and you take on your employer and the employer says ok we don't need you then you just have to live and die by it. There are no unions in my game and potential employers are really taking the p.ss atm in every sense. When the times were good all us contractors take the p.ss. I suppose you just deal with it, that is why I am working at the council now. And I hate it, can't stand the idleness, not living in the real worldness, beaurocracy etc etc. Just so much wastage and so many of the people there don't have a clue and are just institutionaised council. I'm defo not a socialist, can't stand the public sector. On the other hand I understand the govenment were not 100% honest with the miners. Regards profitability - well perhaps it is better to make a slight loss if it keeps people in work and paying tax (no dole money to pay) and keeps communities together. I guess neither side would back down, not at any cost - which is something of a tragedy. Incidentally were the miners paid well back then? The ones I worked with on the channel tunnel rail link were on £300/shift - and it was a lot safer then than in the past I'm sure. Regarding privatisation, isn't that what Blair embraced in his clause 4 thing? I'm not an expert on it all, though i'm sure everyone else is. :) |

Yet again, Blackbum, YOU started the name calling and insults. FOR NO REASON whatever.
Yet again you wait, ignore any salient points, and continue your unprovoked personal assaults on me and on others. In fact, I would guess that 90% of your posts in response to others (whether you're a party to the "conversation" or not) contain some sort of personal attack or insult. You are a loser, a sad waste of space. The biggest irritant on the BF forums, you have nothing worthwhile to contribute and get your rocks off sitting in the corner of your hovel insulting and name-calling. You are so thick (skinned) it doesn't even occur to you you're doing it. You have no friends on here, nor anywhere else, I suspect. Save for those you fawn over, and most of them change their forum names every few weeks either from embarrassment or possibly to avoid you. I'm not seething, I'm mildly irritated, which is about as much as you provide to many on here; mild irritation. You ignore virtually everything put to you which could be considered a criticism, and you need to know, the laughing stock on the politics forum is YOU, not all those you call names. You don't have a clue about how to interact with others, and with the exception of the very few regulars you dote upon, all your input does is mildly irritate most of those who contribute. I can't be bothered to look at the politics forum most of the time, because I know you'll be scouring every thread for your next piece of vitriol production. Now your reaction will as always, be to stand back, and virtually thumb your virtual nose whilst asserting your mystified indignance at such an attack and think of some ways to tell me some old crap like you always do. Bear in mind - not being well know on the chit-chat forum doesn't make you any less of a dickhedd than you're already known to be on the politics forum. |

Blimey, I'm flattered that someone would spend so much time and effort writing all about me.
It just shows how people see things differently study, you know nothing about where I live or work or my individual situation, yet you feel compelled to post all sorts of personal information - why do you feel the need to do that? Is it a desire to be accepted or a form of cyber therapy? Either way you come across as a bit of a saddo. No matter, I'm sure you're a nice lad and your family love you, like I say I do worry about folk as sensitive and insecure as you. |
By:
Good stuff blackburn - we all love you really :)
By:
ivor, study really has got a thing about me, methinks he takes this cyberworld a bit too seriously.
Doesn't say much about his "real" life, poor soul. |

Thatchers idea of dealing with the unions was to eradicate as much of our industry as possible.
But our good friends on the socialist left cannot complain, after all it was they who stabbed Jim Callaghan in the back that let her in the first place. Then they made the unelectable Michael Foot and his unacceptable policies, leader of the Labour party gifting her a second term. |
By:
At the end of the day there has to be a fair balance between legislation that protects workers rights and legislation that enables wealth creation. Otherwise you have the situation the west faces now where workers have no rights, hire and fire short term/temp contracts are the norm; and companies and investors are upping sticks to low wage economies where they can make bigger profits, at the expense of other workers.
It matters not a jot to the vast majority if the good old British economy is admred the world over for being leaner, more efficient and business friendly, if profitable businesses with hard working and loyal staff are being closed down every day; workers are being paid the minimum while the bosses take fat bonuses; and workers are fired for no reason. As a working class person ie someone who has to work for a living, I preferred things when the pendulum was dangling differently. Thatcher (and Blair more surreptitiously) were class warriors for the rich against the interests of ordinary people, and for that both will never be forgiven. |
By:
Surely workers in UK have more rights now than ever before, minimum wage for example. Sacking somebody now is very difficult.
By:
oh surely?...
By:
As pleasing as it will be to see the old bag disappear, nothing will compare to the day the witch left Downing Street bawling her eyes out. Oh, happy day.
By:
How nostalgic we can be for the days when unions were fighting for the workers.............like dropping breeze blocks on cars on the M4 killing taxi drivers ?????? That's why maggie was valued so highly, she took all that on and beat thugs and bullies.
That was the tragic end result of a conflict that got totally out of hand, and it was a big factor in ending the strike. Her hired goons escalated the whole thing, I know that for a fact. If mobs of imported old bill rampaged through your area beating the locals, would you be happy about it? |
By:
Oh surely what? Of course companies go abroad to have stuff made in China, compare workers rights and pay there with UK.
By:
I suppose you´re right Blackie, we should just be happy that we have better pay and working conditions than people living under a totalitarian regime.
By:
tip, depends how far you want to take the argument, you could say that we all contribute to the conditions over there with our shopping habits. I dont suppose too many people worry about the pay in China when they're buying jeans for £2.99 in Tesco.
By:
tiptheodds first long post is spot on. Even the rich can hardly believe the fking ludicrous thievery they've managed to get away with.
They will extend this under Cameron to take the p1ss as far as possible, until we remind them of the consequences. It will happen, we've been here before and it will be ugly like the last time. |

Big Charlie 06 Jan 16:03
If Thatcher was so great for the UK, why was she voted out ? Because she was a megalomaniac nutjob who even the other Tories, who had done very well thanks from her crookedness, realised had gone too far, and had exhausted every avenue of greed open to her. |
By:
he never reaaly had a mandate to be primeminister anyway. just a dodgy deal with bliar
By:
Why do so many people on here who defend the old witch automatically assume anyone who hates her (and this is a majority), likes or supports Blair (the idiot thatcher puppet clone) or the current government?
I certainly don't - and I'm sure I'm not alone. |
By:
Yes, Blair did more damage to the Labour Party than many tory leaders.
