Right, couple of things to confess:

1. Havn't had an amazing week

2. Can't do the V-diet, too **g hard.

So here's what i'm going to do:

Diet

Weight Watchers

Exercise

1 hour tradmill per day
10 minutes exercise bike per day (any more and it hurts your ass for days to come)

Will report back next week

When: 14 Jul 09 10:25
Why waste an hour doing it???why not make it shorter??
By:
J2BLUE.
When: 14 Jul 09 10:28
Waste an hour? An hour burns like 750 calories and i'm currently unemployed after just leaving uni so might as well aim as high as possible.

By:
J2BLUE.
When: 14 Jul 09 10:33
It's already a decent tempo. Going to do it in 3 x 20 minute bursts
By:

When: 14 Jul 09 10:34
you could do 30 minutes....every few minutes put the speed up for 30-50 seconds...then put it back down to what you had it at..interval training is where its at

10 minutes exercise bike per day (any more and it hurts your ass for days to come)

If you're keeping your ass for "use" in the days ahead, perhaps biking isn't the best choice.

I've lost nearly 2 stone over the last 2 months simply from calorie counting and upping my walking/jogging.

I've got a spread sheet where I enter everything I've eaten (breakkie, lunch, dinner, evening, snacks, beer)
I've then gone and found the calorie content of what I've been eating.
This has been the real eyeopener. I've cut right down on cheese, bread and pasta.

Also from your height, weight, age you can get your expected calorie intake a day.

Through in the fact that you roughly burn 62 calories per mile per 100lb (walking/light jogging) you can estimate how much you can burn off.

Putting all this together you can compare your weekly calorie intake to your required intake. And if you try and make you intake 7x500 kcal a week, you'll lose 2lb a week.

You can eat and drink whatever you like, as long as its accounted for you can do more exercise one day or cut out some of the snacks another day.

You can also predict what effect that little Twix will have of your weekly target, which has helpe with my discipline to say no.

19st 6, that's 4lbs this week.. am happy with that considering I had 3 good sessions on the pi$$ last weekend, 2 of which were followed by a visit to the takeaway :)

:) Its how I roll!

Seriously though if I know I'm going to have a heavy weekend on the beers it shows that I'm going to have a "maintenance" week and not lose any weight. Or if I'm not happy with that I can get of my arse and do a bit more walking to compensate.

Really works for me. Energy in Energy out = lose weight.

J2 is of course right there.

and Harry, I've got plenty of time. I automate everything as mcuh as I can.
I find gyms VERY boring I'd rather go cross country.
And the tottie out jogging in the real world is always better than the hoofers on the treadmills.
