why do you need hidden meanings in a song? my friend loves one vision, because it ends in fried chicken
whats so good about that? chucking in random words doesnt make a song good |

Will any of the X-Factor winners be taken seriously in 20 years time,no chance, conveyer belt lightweight tosh.

Like books, a pop song can just be one dimensional and tell a straight story. You can listen to it and it is not offensive but it's not a difficult skill which is why it is so prevalent. Great songs make us think, it doesn't have to be political, but these songs written for pop idol winners are generic and in no way personal to the singer. Like a great book makes a political point or tells us something about the human condition we had not previously sonsidered, or make us see things from a different point of view.
What would you say the chances of Joe relesring anything other than mindless ballads are? |
By:
The same as Harrow Borough winning the Premiership.

but then why cant my opinion of music be the right opinion(not that there is a right one)
but surely if it wasnt successful they wouldnt keep producing these songs and singers and why cant a winner of a talent contest be successful? JLS were formed before the x factor, why are they manufactured.. what does that even mean? i like some nice easy listening songs |
By:
ask yourself one question - does my mum like this song? if the answer is yes the song is sh1t and you shouldn't be listening to it!
By:
How would I know what music your mum likes? The noises she was making completely drowned out the radio.
By:
well my mum liked olly and i couldnt stand him :)
By:
theyre both crap songs. merry christmas.

Is there a chart next Sunday?
By:
dno but im buying joes record again :(
By:
what a moron. Why on earth would anyone buy a song twice?
If you like it you buy it once, if you don't like it you don't buy it. Do you think htat maybe one day you will meet joe and when you tell him yu bought his song twice he will sh@g you? |
By:
im not a moron :) but looking at your other posts around the forums, you do seem to be an aggressive poster, so i wont take it personally
why not help him get to #1? if everyone bought 1 copy of the songs last week then he would already be number one, so going by your reasoning, most of the people who bought RATM song are morons, which i actually agree with |
By:
Many people that bought rage will like the song. I'm a house head and I like it. It is a one off. Why do you care if it reaches number one? YOu don't kow this person, I presume, if you like the song and you own it why does the chart rating matter? Joe has already sold more records in his first week than any other reality star, is that not enough for you?
By:
my point was many bought multiple copies of RATM
why does it bother you so much? i think many people would like joe to get his #1.. he was only denied it by a bunch of "morons" . I followed x factor for goodness knows how many weeks, it's not like its just a random person i want to get to number 1 (like ratm are just a random band that the morons wanted to get to #1) |
By:
so you wouldn't have bought olly or stacy's singles
By:
you seem to be seething more about me buying a 2nd copy of a song(27p wow) than anyone is about joe not getting #1
By:
i wouldnt have bought ollys, i may have bought staceys, i probably would have even bought danyls
i liked joes singing from day 1 so why shouldnt i back him |
By:
twice was obviously not enough.
By:
only once last week, and it'll be once this week cheaper than a vote on the x factor innit
By:
Joe is a mediocre singer covering a risible song, has all the hallmarks of your traditional x factor xmas number 1 but not this time apparently.
By:
RATM was not chosen at ramdom, it is symbolic. The fact they are donating the proceeds to charity shows that they are behind the idea and did not want to tarnish it by making money.
I'm not seething at you buyig it twice but it does seem a riddiculous thing to do. |
By:
joe fans and x factor fans have really let him down by not getting him the number one. on sky news at lunchtime they were interviewing some girls who were still tearful at not getting the number one.
By:
sumo
haha Thats fking pathetic. |
By:
andy just about admitting to being biggest sap on betfair. remind us all why you are prepared to download it a 2nd time...
By:
i remember you said you won a grand the other day, andy, and i congratulated you. biggest waste of £1000 ever if you spent it all voting for joe!
By:
Andy
Unreal. Breastfed until 10 (NAP) |
By:
i didnt vote on the x factor at all
to download the song it is(or at least was) 27p less than a packet of crisps.. it's hardly wasting a grand downloading twice is 27p x 2 = 54p and the charity thing was just a publicity stunt. "aww look they're giving money to charity, lets buy it and do our bit" |
