It's not just the emotions, SNOOCH - much more than that. If I have to boil it down - and ffs, you sure have to boil it down on here - I'd say this :
SOUL - the seat (throne?) of the NATURAL man. Seat of appetites, desires, preferences, etc. The term "soul music" derives from the African-American churches - as a derogatory term, as they understand this definition of "soul." |

Body + Soul dies. What happens to this invisible spirit, if it exists, other than get blown to the 4 winds.

Spirit goes to God and receives a new, imperishable, eternal body, no longer subject to the controlling powers of the soul.

"So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual. (1 Cor. 15.45,46)

Oh right - THAT.
My best friend had a go and was sectioned very soon after. He was dogged by mental illness for approx. 10 years. I went to the "bammy hoose" - in Kirkintilloch, I think - and out of despair, I prayed for him...eventually, we both became Christians. I remember being in the "bammy hoose" the day Minnehomma won the national...just VISITING, you understand! |

Watching the race on the telly, and all the patients going crazy as a women obsessed with cleanliness blocked the TV as she cleared the bins...she blocked the telly just as Minnehomma jumped the last...

I lived with someone obsessed by cleanliness ...
she had CCD ..Compulsive Cleaning Disorder .. I would be eating my evening meal ,take a drink out of my cup , and put my cup down and if distractedby something or not paying attention ..the cup would have been whisked away and put in the Dish Washer .. IF I left the table to say butter a piece of bread ..If I didn't remember to say "Ive not finished my dinner yet" , when I turned back whatever had been on my plate was in the dog's bowl and my dinner plate was in the dish washer ... it was VERY annoying ... |

You've got FREE WILL, Snooch.
I'm not going to fully explain, other than to say that anyone who uses the occult - ouija board, tarot, divination, etc. - gives up their free will to someone else...and the pattern is often as follows : short tern gain, long term loss...a bit like a loan shark, really... |
