Limini could show up at Haydock this Saturday. Another Willie Mullins talking horse that the stable hold in high regard. It will probably be unbackable even if it does turn up this weekend, but a good performance could see her go very short for the Festival.

Just had a look at the card and looks a strong race. Throw in la bague au roi, karalee and listen dear in there and that's pretty much the mares novice race at the festival. Limini should open up odds against Imo.

Already on Limini at 7/1, and really excited about her. Her form in France looks pretty impressive. Beating Manatee who went on to win the Grand Prix de Paris then wasnt beaten that far in the Grand Prix de Paris means she had the potential to be a Grade 1 filly herself on the flat. She didnt hurdle brilliant on debut but didnt need to as she absolutely annihilated a decent field at Punch. The form of that race looks pretty good already.

Of all the novices, I think she is the one who could go off a crazy short price and 7/1 with Bet365 looks outstanding value imo.

I agree with all that CCM - hope it runs on sat and really hope that scoob is right about the odds against.

Sorry meant Manatee went on to win the Grand Prix de Chantilly!

I'm on limini too at 8/1 for mares and dont get me wrong I think and hope she has a great chance. I just think on all known form if all these turn up its by no means a gimme.

Of those in saturday's race - who would worry you scoob?

No gimme scooby, but if she is a worthy fav for the Cheltenham race she should be winning this? And she looks pretty versatile with regards to ground. She will need to be as it will very very testing there at the weekend.

I took the 'any race' option just in case Annie goes for the World Hurdle and Limini is switched to the Mares Hurdle. Loads of imponderables of course. Much will depend on whether Annie gets a prep race and how good Karalee turns out to be, I guess.

Buche de noel good french form
Hollies pearl great bumper form
Briery queen great bumper form and hurdles
Deffinately the organist (huge potential) hyped up by the yard
Even Tara flow and yes I did have good form.
Every horse in the race has won bumpers and hurdles.
A true test for limini

Probably wise delsie, but couldnt resist the 7/1 ahead of the 5/1 tbh!

I'd put her in at 13/8 minimum to win this. And if she wins this on the bridle I wouldn't be suprised if she was the same price for the mares novice. Such as the strength in depth of this race atm.

In my opinion if Annie Power goes WH then Vroum Vroum Mag will be targeted at the Mares. Would make sense given the latter has been entered in hurdle races recently. No reason to take Limini out of novice company whatever happens with AP.

Treble pays nearly 1000/1. I'm on. GL

Not running today now.... Wonder what the plans are.

Wonder if they sent Myska over as a sighter, or whether she is now the more likely for this race?

Getting a bit worried we haven't seen Limini yet, I have to say.

Willie said he 'wanted to see where we stand with the English Mares'. This tells us nothing of course but the fact Ruby made the flight in such terrible conditions tells us something. I think they rate Myska highly, but not as highly as the Ricci Mares. They are waiting for better ground for these I believe. Might have a long wait, although I gather that in the case of Limini, they wouldn't mind going straight to the Mares Novice if they had to - Quevega style!

Despite the rumours on the other thread, pleasing to see she has been cut right across the board today. Now a top priced 5-1.

Fingers crossed we see her in the Solerina in a few weeks.... She is now by biggest bet of the Festival by some way.

Although that's encouraging for Limini supporters, the markets can't always be trusted, CCM. After all, Fulham Road has a fracture and is still no bigger than 16-1 for the Bumper!

Can't Catch Me

True, but that horse has just been left where it was imo. They generally don't shorten quite significantly unless something positive has happened. Bet365 are 9-2 from 7-1 and PP 4-1 from 6-1.

Anyone looked at oddschecker today? Is there a rumour Limini has sprouted wings or something? I won't complain if she has.

I wouldn't doubt that at all ccm, I'm assuming it's a Ricci owned horse?
By:
Can't Catch Me
When: 10 Jan 16 21:40
Yes it is. Looked a potentially group one filly on the flat. Bought by RR and hurdled like a natural on debut, in what now looks a very decent race.

Always think there isn't much strength in depth in these Mares races, and her biggest danger will no doubt be a stablemate, but it seems they think this one is their best.

CCM did you watch the Limini race? 'hurdled like a natural' is going overboard. I know you have backed her and should be confident but I would not say she was a natural at all. Compare her jumping to Karalee and there is a huge difference. Even if you don't want to watch the race again just read the comments on the RP website. The word 'careful' is probably the best description. She's not a bad jumper but just wasn't a 'natural' as you put it.

When: 10 Jan 16 22:23
Evening Jackie. I've watched the race several times! Didn't get heavily involved without doing that. You're right of course, 'natural' was a bit too much. But I liked the way she respected every hurdle. You see so many novices, particularly ex flat horses, run through a few as if they aren't there, and she didn't do that once. Considering it was her first run, she only skewed a couple and put a couple of really nice jumps in. I'm confident she will be a really natural hurdler in time.

JackieMoon33

Her engine could get her out of trouble as that looks her biggest asset. It will be interesting, given her pedigree, how she handles a tough uphill finish as that would be my other concern.

Punchestown isn't an easy track and its a pretty stiff finish. She seemed to relish it that day.
By:
JackieMoon33
When: 10 Jan 16 22:45
She certainly did not shirk it but then again it was not a championship field or pace. I'm not knocking her as she is the likely winner right now, but I think this new Mares race could be more open than the betting suggests.
By:
JackieMoon33

It's a real shame Copper Kay, Augusta Kate and La Bague Au Roi are not novice hurdling this season as that could have proven to be a hell of a race.
By:
Can't Catch Me
When: 10 Jan 16 23:07
No it wasn't a championship race but it was a very decent race imo. Easily the best form on offer.

Limini heads the ante-post market at 4-1 for the Grade Two Trull House Stud Mares' Novice Hurdle, despite having had just the one run for Mullins and owner Rich Ricci.

That came at Punchestown in May when the French import justified 5-4 favouritism in a 23-runner maiden hurdle in smooth fashion.

ProfilesLimini

"She's ready to come out," Mullins told Racing UK.

"There is a mares' hurdle in England for her coming up and we have her pencilled in for that.

"Her form looks good and I think she has improved a good bit in her jumping.

"She just hadn't come right all season, but I think she has come right now."
