...tomorrow will tell us more

Nice pun harry!

I think its the bookies running scared of another Mullins one.  He could be another Faugheen, but then he could be another So Young.  Only time will tell, but bookies cutting him across the board like he has already won tomorrow.

Free Expression a solid opponent, to be fair the form of his last win has worked out very well. Shantou Flyer ran well behind No More Heroes, Rock The World, Martello Tower and Kauto Grand Mogul have all came out and won. I think Martello Tower may have won had he not fell, would have been close anyway. I imagine the Mullins camp rate Tell Us More a lot higher than Outlander who was just touched off by Martello Tower over Christmas, albeit in receipt of weight. I'm in the same camp as CVByrne, have a decent chunk on Tell Us More for the Neptune, and will be disappointed if he can't win tomorrow.

Free Expression is very highly thought of too FestivalFanatic .... I'd say that's why Tell Us More isn't shorter.

I don't think this G1 is any weaker than the Future Champions Novice Hurdle or the Tolworth Hurdle Harry Callaghan. 4 novice G1's in 8 days from 2m up to 2m 5f is a bit too much though. They should be spread out a bit better. There are 6 G1 novice hurdles before the Festival in Ireland and the UK and 4 of them are within 8 days of another.

I agree about those 3 horses in the Albert Bartlett WellChief. They look three very smart stayers. I'd marginally favour Blacklion at this stage but I like all 3 as potential horses for the future.

4/6 is certainly a braves mans bet tomorrow and 9/2 from hills for him for cheltenhams neptune is truly sickening in my book

think hills must have a terribly unbalanced book and don't want another penny on him

they were 20/1 before his first run this season when most firms were only 14 or 16

i expect it's where half the forum have got their bets onGrin

i don't disagree with this - doesn't mean i thought they were decent grade 1's but always difficult with novices and i've only seen one race i trust class wise this season and it wasn't a grade 1...i thought the challow was a good race and i thought we had a good winner of the tolworth today who had already shown above average form...you could argue the tolworth lacked depth but he was already a solid horse...the leopardstown race was very inconclusive but we will know more next time and the winner may want better ground

this race has lots of questions to answer but we won't know till tomorrow, till the handbrake is let off tell us more but the race really lacks any depth class wise...lets hope he wins well

They were also 12/1 to win any race for a while tooGrinGrin

He needs to win Tomorrow but the manner in which he ran and jumped on debut suggests he's something special.  He was making lengths at most hurdles, albeit against trees, but Cooper was purring about him afterwards.  I get the feeling that he's Mullins best novice and Giggingstowns too.  Lets hope he proves that Tomorrow, as it seems there are a few of us on him.

His former P2P trainer Willie Codd was on ATR and said he is easily the best horse he has had, others mentioned were Tranquil Sea and Stellar Notion so hard to say how good really.

as I have said on another thread I am already on at 20s for the Neptune, down town yesterday and popped into ladcrookes haven't bet with them for years, I asked the guy behind the counter if he could get me a £25 bet for the Neptune and next years RSA as a double he was on the phone for 15 minutes and come back with he couldn't get a price as the traders had gone home!! 4.45 on a Saturday no wonder they are in trouble.

Bubble burst there. Isn't anything special if beaten by McKinlay.

Novice hurdle division is pretty low quality this season.

You've got to believe they know he can wipe the floor with McKinley at home though. A few of Willie's have been under performing recently and I wouldn't write him off just yet. A lot of the recent form looks a bit of a mess.

Far too often Mullins pitches one raced novices into Grade 1s and they get found out. Give them more experience first

Didn't stay the trip for me. Will certainly be found out if it goes in the Neptune. Would be of more interest in the Supreme but not one for me.

didnt stay? only just run out of it. maybe he's just not that good, there was always the danger that his form amounted to nothing

Jumped pretty well too all in all very disappointing to be beaten by McKinlay

Elliot's beaten too though maybe just really bad ground finding them out?

All bunched finishes in the 3 big trials so far for the race. Douvan the only possible exception if they decide to go for the 2m4f race at end of month at Leop.

A lot of the trainers ran a bit poor these past couple of weeks.Happened last year also.

Elliots would've won but for jumping

Not sure CCM. Free Expression struggled to beat Shantou Flyer last time out and he was cuffed to, despite being backed at the off. The No Mores Heroes/Shaneshill form looks higher standard than this.

When: 04 Jan 15 13:49
Who won is irrelevant tbh, the fact 3 horses are close to eachother and the 3rd string Mullins horse won, same way with Parlour Games the other day. Bunch finishes = no stand out.

We'll see how everyone runs next. At least we know all of Mullins novices will run again so we can have a look again.

There will be no hotpots though this year.

Yeah maybe so ff. I just struggle to believe Tell us More isn't significantly better than McKinley tbh.

Simply not good enough, people trying to find excuses. Gained ground atvevery hurdle and still couldn't shake them off, another hype horse

Had it at 20s for Neptune but agree with most here I heard a big pop sound or whatever noise bubbles make when they bust.

Are horses not allowed off days?! By that rationale Tyrone... Vautour is another hype horse is he not?

Agree with festivalfanatic in that I think the No More Heroes/Shanehill race looked stronger.

Anyway, moot point, and one which we can debate ad infinitum. I still think the horse will prove to be much better than today... But Bubble burst for the time being Sad

Strange winter for Mullins, he's had half run poorly and half run well. Then his cryptic comments re Vautour, he knows why he ran flat etc..

Will wait and see how the flop horses run next time out.

Tell Us More was pretty week in the market.  Expected him to go off a bit shorter than 4/5 and all the money was for Free Expression.

The really good ones win even when they have had off days. Look at HF's form figures - I am sure he had a few days when he may not have felt the best. I agree with Tyrone. OK he may have needed the run or whatever but if he was going to sluice up in the Neptune he should have at least won here. WMs good ones dont get turned over like that. Vautour's race was different in that he made a horrible mistake and in the process banged his teeth off the ground.

Arkle. Can you also explain Vautour last time then?
By:
Can't Catch Me
When: 04 Jan 15 14:02
Sorry missed your last line. I don't think that's what cost Vautour the race myself... He looked flat, like a lot of WPM's have the last few weeks.

I think he has eased off a little bit as he wants them peaking in March.

Dictated the pace to suit himself and jumped impeccably but still got beat so hard to come up with any real excuses. Maybe they will now aim him at the Supreme (front running ride like Vautor and Champagne Fever) and aim Douvan and/or Shaneshill at the Neptune.

I wouldnt be too disappointed with that. I'm yet to play the race(first time ever I havent) Too many people write horses off after just one under performing run
