I'm really looking forward to it but I'm having a lovely Summer so to be honest I'm quite happy to wait.
I think us Jump fans are lucky because following Jump racing makes it much easier to get through the winter. We just seem to lurch from one big meeting to the next then, before we know it, it's Cheltenham and it's Spring again ![]() |

Evening all. Hope ye had a fine summer. Really looking forward to the new season.
Last year mid October was when I had my first bet of the season. I think I might have a poke or two before then tbh. |
|
By:
Cv thanks for the info you gave on the mullins horses last year, spot on with every call regarding which races they were going for, what's the most exciting horse you are looking forward to seeing this season ?
|
|
By:
No problem at all. The three I'm most looking forward to this season are Allez Colombieres, Djakadam & Pont Alexandre. Already backed the three of them for Cheltenham

|

How is my favourite horse Briar hill?,allez columbieres, would he supreme bound with tell us more Neptune ?
|
|
By:
Think this season there will be Ricci and Wylie horses going head to head in many races. Briar Hill & Pont Alexandre both being aimed at RSA. Allez Colombieres would be Supreme bound I believe. Tell Us More for Neptune, but Ruby doesn't ride Giggy horses so think Shaneshill will end up in Neptune too.

By:
Well you have just saved me a few quid because I was going to back Briar hill for the world hurdle,Cheers mate !

Cheers guys, appreciate the kind words. Funny thing is the catalyst for starting a site was being banned from a racing forum I spent WAAAY too much time on.
![]() Still I learnt an awful lot from others on forums, for which I am grateful, so I hope I can help others get into horse racing, or improve their own betting. btw If anyone wants me to write about something on a particular topic please use the contact feature on the site. The latest Willie Mullins blog post was in response to a request. I'll have a big blog post and pictures next Tuesday evening after we go see the clubs horses in training with Harry Fry. Paul Barber has leased 4 of his horses to the club this season. With Highland Retreat being the star, she heads novice chasing this season once the rain comes. |

Looking forward to following your incites on a weekly basis CV. Your thought process over the big festival races inparticular although not always correct have always been well reasoned and argued. Good luck with the new site.

As much as we like to tell ourselves that the jumps begins at Chepstow a few weeks ago or at the Old Roan Chase, today the turf Flat does one for the winter and it is well and truly, undeniably, the Jumps season

Even more reason to look forward this year. Chepstow have done away with the meeting in later October and the first meet earlier in the month is now a 2 day meeting with the silver trophy on the saturday and the persian war on the sunday.
