WCE over rated on the road. home ground advantage worth 6 goals. on the road worth minus 6 goals IMO
havent been impressed with eagles or freo. expect freo to go back to their old style this week. |

Is there any reason for tossing the coin any more? The teams seem to settle in their spot, and whoever wins the toss goes to the end they are standing, of course rendering the toss useless.

By:
which richmond team will turn up ?? richmond to win..good odds
By:
How could Richmond be any good with Hampson in the ruck and Taylor-Hunt getting a game. Those two would have to be 755 & 756 in the ratings of AFL footballers ie: the bottom two!!

add HouliDouli as one of their "best" ![]() And the beat goes on .... |

By:
Melb $3 against Pies. Load up
By:
Almost as silly odds as the Eagles starting favs against the Hawks recently ?
![]() I'd unload ... But I don't bet on football and I'm dusty since I unloaded again and again on The Chief ![]() Rather lay The Quarterback each way ![]() |

May should get a huge ban for that. Absolutely disgraceful

Got me excited about football again. Like the good old days. But agree, 2 months on the cards...

GF replay is no more, bit sad imo.
Timing seems a bit odd, i wonder if they've got wind of something else happening tomorrow ![]() |
By:
yep......... just loved watching Mike "We really don't like breaking with tradition" Fitzpatrick tonight. The game today is almost unrecognisable compared with 50 years ago.
By:
Finally an AFL not a VFL decision, a GF replay hugely disadvantages interstate teams and their supporters, ridiculous to expect them to get time off work again, pay a kings ransom for airfares, accommodation etc all over again, finally a victory for commonsense
By:
![]() ![]() ...... and what if three guns from ur local opponents were banged up from the gf and doubtful at best for a replay ??? It's all relative imo, should keep the replay. I hate seeing grand finals of any sport decided by ten seconds of play, or even worse, a silly shoot out that uses one percent of the games skills to determine a whole years graft. bs imo.... let em play again until one side is proven the best. The two heavyweights punching it out until one is beaten imo. |
By:
Fortunately very we never have to worry about that ffuuccking abomination ever again
By:
What a sensational game tonight, how on earth do you beat them, Puopolo was outstanding, Adelaide had everything but deliver the coup de grace punch, and somehow the Hawks found a way.
By:
i agree, as an essendon supporter i can tell you there is nothing more sickening than watching hawthorn win another close one. I don't care about knocking off carlton or collingwood or richmond ONE TENTH as much as seeing hawthorn get beaten.
this time last year we knocked them off at the G ....... ffs what's happened at bomberland ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NOTE to bill shorten ..... i'll never forget you corrupt labor parasites and i hope every essendon supporter understands the carp you corrupt parasites gave our footy club. |
By:
hi aussie friends. anyone around for today's matches?
By:
gday wisewords....... just bet against two clubs all year round and accumulate the cash ...... carlton and essendon.
By:
Include Fremantle in that bracket of easy collects as well
and West Coast away unfortunately![]() |
By:
not easy punting football......... now don't kick Roscoe when he's down lets
Can't remember for sure now what caused Fyfes leg fracture, was it a dirty hawthorn tactic two years ago ?? ... captain nails the best opponent again ??Tragedy for fyfe if he's put out of football for life. It would be yet another dirty hawthorn victim. |
By:
You can't write off West Coast lets....... not many teams that like big grounds, like WCE, can go to the SCG and play their own brand of footy. WCE have improved out of sight this year imo and they will be top 4 no problems. Very strong forward line and blokes like Yeo and McGovern have gone to next level. Darling having full pre season will pay big divvi's later this year.

I'm not writing them off at all mate but I said to anyone who would listen that it was laughable so many experts were tipping them for the flag don't like the Jetta trade way too costly I hope he proves me wrong and in a very good team he will but he needs to start working a lot harder.
I would almost be tempted to drop him for a few games and make him really earn his spot, how Hutchings was dropped boggles the mind, they're a better side with him in it and losing Rosa is massive and Wellingham and quite a few had interrupted preseasons. They just need to start playing like they can and build steadily like they did last year from a very similar position, Sheed also a massive loss currently and Wellingham and co. will only get better so far from doom and gloom but knew they couldn't win on Saturday unless they played to their very best Swans are very, very, good. At least we've got a decent coach now who actually know tactics and different strategies although he would be the first to admit he had a bad day in the box against the hawks earlier this season. Thinks there quite a few chances this year and nothing's settled just yet but one thing I do know is that North can't win the flag. |
By:
the last 9 top 8 teams west cost eagles have faced interstate they have won only the ONE time (1W-8L)
On those facts i cant see the current crop win a premiership, home ground advantage is all they have in their favour. would not have beaten north melb in the prem last year if played in melb. add the current teams building towards a grand final.. GWS gold coast bulldogs, adelaide sydney ( another with huge home ground advantage) hawthorn melbourne and northMELB |
By:
and a fantastic win by the bluebaggers. will win a few more as they get use to the game plan and if they continue the endevour shown against freo
By:
Go Blues,
Cant see them losing another game after that win Cripsssssss Gibbssss What a Goal. Go Blues |

the only thing essendon fans have been looking forward to this year was beating Caarrrrrllton. Sadly, this may not happen. Just like dillon M not lobbying the govt. to pi..s WADA off out of australian sport.

the only thing essendon fans have been looking forward to this year
1)The end of the year. 2)Watching all the players needle marks heal up. If only Vander was playing when Do(a)nk came along with his Snake Oil. Do(a)nk would be running away with all 50 needles sticking out of his Kyber. |

another in the long list of unpublished vanders stories. I was at junction oval watching last quarter of ess v. fitzroy reserves and just enjoying the first or second of the day when up comes vanders and places a multitude of tinnies on the asphalt and stands right next to me. He was out with broken ribs and just turned up to watch the boys. I thought at the time i was a pretty good drinker..... holy snapping ducksh.t batman... nothing on vanders. By the end of the seniors, between himself and myself, there were nearly thirty empty cans on the ground and i knew i was responsible for only ten of them. At the final siren and a glorious essendon victory featuring a yooung 15 year old ruck rover called Timothy Watson, Vanders just strolled out of the ground straight as pole. this was olympic gold medal drinking which would have rivalled or even bettered Val Perovics abilities. I walked sideways and back and forth .... to the chariot and manouvered out of the park without damaging crackers keenan and ronnie andrews car which was beside mine and uncomfortably close... and found the parlour in park street for some fun and sober up time before moonee valley trots.

Richmond coach must go. Every supporter knows they're shyte but heirachy in denial

I apologise to the purists but does anyone think some of these afl games are being rorted for betting purposes with short price fav's getting beaten .....
IMO topic that seems to be an elephant in the room....of course media and coaches wont raise the subject prefer to simply say eg. players played dumb. But wow some very big rewards for players and coaches and others if they were in on any rorts .....understanding as I always say a rort is a rort only if your not in on it...otherwise its just an earn. the Tigers played "dumb" football during Saturday night's disastrous loss to Port Adelaide and failed to execute fundamental skills that a local team would expect to nail. Just seems to be toooooo easy to do...without any retribution......like I said ..always an elephant in the room.... |
By:
Oh come on Henry, youre been watching to much CSI
By:
I'm not sure the Tigers are good enough to be able to start throwing matches.

I'm not sure the Tigers are good enough
Curiously however the line was was 21.5 points so many thought they were good enough to win that game and whilst one team always has to win it are summaries of their effort that makes this topic an elephant in the room and purists often in denial. Again their effort summarized as follows as follows' [i]the Tigers played "dumb" football during Saturday night's disastrous loss to Port Adelaide and failed to execute fundamental skills that a local team would expect to nail. Port has lost its past four MCG matches. THE MARGINS RICHMOND LINE -21.5 points $1.95 PORT ADELAIDE LINE +21.5 points $1.85 |
