AP trial well spotted
Is it me or are ear plugs less used these days (I doubt it)..just when reinsman pulls them out dont seem to be as obvious act as it used to are there leg staps that pull them out,,,in this AP trial just didnt see any plugs pulled.. ![]() |
|
By:
I may be wrong as I often am but I think they're used just as much and it's just easier
to pull them is a less dramatic fashion as days gone bye, more high tech maybe It's actually quite bizarre you should mention that henry as I was only watching some replays yesterday and thinking pretty much the same thing which has now got me thinking about hopple shorteners |
|
By:
I was onto the trial but unfortunately so was Mick Polster and it's there for the world to see on harness.org
I actually liked it better when you had to go to the trials to get the real insight but times change and now they're on youtube as a youngen I'd go to Addington and watch about 15 plus trials and note the one's running just behind them under a stranglehold and wanting to do another lap, you would also see the one's who stepped well to this day it was the best source of winners I've ever had |
|
By:
less dramatic fashion as days gone bye,
Funny our similar thoughts.... Yes was so dramatic...used to luv it... ![]() |

By:
this one time bonny wee trotting mare Tussle was getting ready at the Addington trials
before heading to Auckland for the Rowe Cup. She was off 60m and begun so fast that she was in front after the length of the straight. I had the biggest bet of my life so far on her after all the so called experts I knew told be I was mad. Yes of course she won, paid $4.40 or something |

By:
I used to go to the Albion Park trials with a laptop and the late Lou Cini would give me
such a hard time that I'd just take a clipborad and stopwatch like everyone else |
|
By:
the late Lou Cini
No Joke ..the last thing I said to Lou (2 weeks before his passing)... "Hey Lou, You're looking well" |
|
By:
VK
Do you remember Elmo Dawn and Adiós Amigo |
|
By:
no, I'd never bet at Albion Park till Village Kid's inter (85 I think)
only two kiwi's came over, cup winners Borana and Master Mood |
|
By:
Master Mood
In play ..probably 20.00 ++ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQki5FJgi6E |

Last start second to 26.00 co runner today... ![]() |
|
By:
luckless last start, hampered at the quarter and got home like it was shot out of a canon
that's why it was fave tonite, I rate ARTFORM better but he drew the outside, may have to reassess they clash with the freakish LAZARUS in the sires on Cup day, incredible depth in the kiwi 3yo department |

forgotten horse FOR A REASON ran a cracking 3rd in the NZ Cup last year
the word on the street is he's "thriving" on the beach in W.A. for Greg & Skye Bond I've backed him e/w for the Inter, as this inter is just plain WEIRD.............IMO apparently any kiwi's who run in the big Cup have to miss the NZ FFA on Showday (Friday) to make it to Perth obviously strange things happen when they cross the Nullarbor, grow legs, lose legs etc well For A Reason is already there, so seems worth some specking |

VK -- very much looking forward to viewing Kaikoura tomorrow, if only on the box ;-)
What have you done for emails now you have jumped the ditch ?? I presume you've had to get a new address. . . Can you email me ?? |
|
By:
That was funny I was only just telling the missus I'm going to the Kiakoura Cup next year
for racing, a spot of whale watching, checking out the old surf spost, the seal colony and eating crayfish my email is global, still the same ![]() |
|
By:
Wow Stent, taken on early and still breezes past them. Going to go down as one of the all time great trotters surely. Speed is off the charts
|
|
By:
Oh dear Mark Purdon, almost as if he wanted to get Messini beat

CHRISTEN ME out of the Cup and the FFA = WILL NOT START

50/50 at best for the Inter
|
|
By:
Might as well cancel the Inter and run a Perth FFA, will be some very average horses in the final
