trying to stay awake for the AB's vs the saffers
being able to bet inplay adds to the occasion but it's a minefield |
|
By:
bugger, now the surfings on hold, have to bet at Narrogin to keep me awake

but my names not Joe
so DA as my first play on the rugby should I back or lay the AB's? I would tend to back them and hope they get a good start? pretty short though @ 1.28 currently maybe back the AB's -7.5 @ 1.77 or -3.5 @ 1.43 |
|
By:
I think they'll win and deserve to win because the All Blacks of the last say 6 years or so have been the greatest Rugby team in history.
In this WC they've had nothing but training runs. France were embarrassing. Ths Springboks will be a 1000x tougher. Can they handle the step up? Yeah probably. But you're only getting 1.28. I'm going for the $5+ for the bokke. You never know. Those handling errors we saw in the All Black warm up games might reappear. Also no one is un-beatble forever. |
|
By:
I might stay out and just enjoy the game instead of worrying about the betting
backed the AB's to win the Cup @ 2.18, that will do me hate the saffers!!! go the Argies!!!!!! no surprise that it's all southern hemisphere teams in the semi's and it's good to see |
|
By:
and good luck to you

I'm with you on this. Often gambling on rugby games that I feel strongly about spoils it for me. I don't need the bother. It's stressful enough.
Not for New Zealanders obviously they have no stress because they always win. They probably just stress about when the golden era will be over. Not any time soon. |

How do you even ring BF these days? I'm trying to contact them because everything is fxcked and I can't even find a phone number on their website. Doesn't exactly instill me with confidence. The fxckers have my cash at their mercy and I can't even contact them!!

Looks like NZ weekend of Quality horses as well now.
Need to stop Over Racing 2 & 3 year Olds. This Years Inter looks terrible. (Im still going) have Our High Jinx going for plenty @ 150s It could be that weak of a Field it might just win Today we see the return of Keeyang Steamer. What could of been a couple of years ago. Ran 2nd last week to Keeyang Cullan last week by a head last half 54 around Ballarat. (Best track in Aus) No Price was hoping to get $3 - $4 not EVANs |

Never in Danger and was so Fat. |

ASHBURTON --- did they ever bother to remeasure that track when the rest of the world went metric VK ?
Given the times they register there, I reckon it is still in yards !!! |
|
By:
Trotman, 400m in a straight line, downhill, usually with a tail wind, any thing over 28 is slow!
DA, I'm in NZ, you get treated like an adult here, Betfair = access all areas, online inplay no issue |

STENT backed into 1.60 with the NZ TAB
|
|
By:
Mark Purdon doesn't have a stable he has a money printing press...what a drive that was
3.90 best odds here for Smolda......you are kidding!!!! |
|
By:
Not sure what to make of that at first look?
Smolda had the best run in the race and took care of business. Ohoka Punter good, Tiger Tara probably as good after working for the front. Sky Major probably did enough after being too far back on straightening. Not sure we got any answers from that group going into the great race |
|
By:
And what is worse, the best 6 horses in the southern hemisphere are ALL kiwis currently, and only one of those is any chance to come for this Inter. As I said at the time, it just can't be held in Perth, again we will only get a second tier field in our Inter (although I wish we could get the BEST field with the old format) :-(
|
|
By:
the writing was on the wall SMOLDA 3.60 in to 2.80
well played to leave him to winter in Queensland while the south island froze in one of the coldest winters on record is now the cup fave for sure and certain |
|
By:
1.50 now STENT
|

By:
still filthy about STENT a day later, apparently Colin Defilipi said he "was too kind to him" after his last run and he was a bit big
betting in NZ is a minefield, they don't give a rats about the punter should have known better to back a kiwi horse with a bigger race on the horizon wait till SKY MAJOR hits the track on Cup day, it's the only race they've cared about this prep he will be trained to the minute |
|
By:
well at least anyone taking the 2.0 - 2.20 early on Stent could have sold out in the 1.60s

HRNZ Cancels Mike Stratford's Licences
27 October 2015 Harness Racing New Zealand (HRNZ) has completed its review of the three licences held by Mr Mike Stratford. This follows his attempt to drive at the NZ Metropolitan Trotting Club race meeting on 11 September with a metal attachment to his whip. VK - they don't give a rats about the punter: Spare a thought for the horses with metal attachments on their reinsman's whip |
|
By:

Trotman this is for you
From your favourite track ASHBURTON HAVE FAITH IN ME last half 52.4 SKY MAJOR last half 52.8 this phenomenon is caused by exceptionally good horses running down a 14 degree gradient from the 800 to the winning post there is also the "North Wester tailwind factor" this is a strong dry warm wind that blows across Canterbury caused by moisture rising over the Southern Alps on the west coast causing a vacuum effect. It is very common around this time of year. The wind can be so warm that is was 32C in Kiakoura a few weeks ago. A day when it was 16C in Wellington which isn't that far away as the crow flies although I've never seen a crow in NZ or a huntsman spider, a big cockroach or a snake for that matter. |

By:
I think ARTFORM is the best of them and should SHANDALE really be that much shorter due to the draw?
Artform's racing pattern is to go forward early so surely he'll be humming off the arm small fields can be tricky so think I may just be taking notes for the bigger races ahead |
|
By:
in the Kiakoura Cup I would really like to see TE KAWAU back to his best but drawing the pole worries me
as he can be a bit suss at the start but if he steps he's right in it if MOSSDALE CONNOR's recovered from his tuff run for a massive 3rd last Monday and he puts in a similar effort he'll be hard to beat, should lead and run along as he does ARDEN ROONEY scorched the earth when he won this race last year as favourite for the All Stars good to see Kerryn Manning back here with him, was impressive last start and looks on target he flew over last night with Corzin Terror MESSINI looks the only other genuine hope which is hardly revealing as they are the four faves! how do you make money? this is the question as betting at Kiakoura isn't just about the awesome scenery I may back TE KAWAU 1x3 in a **** bet and hope and pray he steps ok but logic tells me it's Mossdale Connor trying to hold on with Arden Rooney and Messini coming at him late |
