--gust of wind very unlucky--got turned sidesways 3 times in the straight--Franky should get 3 months for his ride on max dynamite--filthy races![]() ![]() |

Why not..it is the Cup and selecting second at 16.00 ish
Henrys only tip Max Dynamite come to mind in a big way...actually a jumper but the Galway (2nd place) was great race and has all that experience in those big fielded jumps (up against 18-19 other runners) so should luv any pushing and shoving....only caveat is might be running a bit fresh....so might not settle....unless it has had some decent workouts (which one would expect)... So at this moment my tip is MD Subscriptions filling fast..!! |

grand marshall nearly came down into the straight .. jim escaped danger
preferment checked at the turn all over at that point it too far back fame game three wide throughtout .. had cover .. taken 10 wide on the turn trip to paris every chance from the pozzie can't take it away from the winner .. michelle had to make quick choices after the jump .. and she did it so right pretty amazing Cup .. not a classic .. but a great race .. stewards with a bit of work to do but they generally have to this race ![]() all in all a well done to connections ... 100/1 lol |

amazing stuff, the link to Bart with Prince Of Penzance having almost exactly 10 K's in its' legs going into today's race. D Weir is a great trainer alright.... not just a combination of influences

? henry .. sorry ... well done on your Melb Cup lay ... you've reclaimed your skills today good to see you bounce back (and humble ) after a tough couple of picks in the Caulfield Cup & Cox Plate your good subscriber's will stick ... and be glad to see your Melb Cup result ![]() your best bet was the place divvie on Max .. well done criterion what a magnificent looker he is .. had trouble seeing him at the distance pre race me though and I couldn't have had the winner in 10 picks probably but as always .. a great race ![]() |

Cox Plate was a shocking day for me.....think the following day went to casino to settle my nerves....but yes learnt a lot ...so much good from that days losses Actually look at the form of the winner ....quite frankly it had a chance...might suggest it would have been close to your top 10..what distracts us often are horses prices... PS recall Cox Plate day..way too cocky off the back of winning streak...left blood on the floor....poured from the eyes... ![]() ![]() GL |

Stupid part about it, is his hypertrophic patented fitness levels with tens of thousands of algorithms showed up:
100% Criterion/Fame Game 99% Our Ivanhoe/The Offer/Prince Of Penzance/Preferment 100% 3rd/13th 99% 10th/8th/1st/20th Yet, he tipped you out of Prince Of Penzance because of class. Now where has class ever come into anything in his "tips"? His tips: Trip To Paris. Second favourite, 4th. Preferment. 3rd favourite, 20th. Fame Game. Favourite, 13th. Any UK runner and Hoko Brave who he had at 97%, and the UK runners, as far as I can see, didn't rate their fitness at all. Yet tipped them all above his 100% and 99% ers...... Of course, these are what he showed up as their fitness after their last runs. Much easier to claim high fitness levels after a race, and then show yourself up next time. If he didn't put his tips up, he could have easily claimed 1st and 3rd in the cup with 100 dollar winner and 6 dollar place out of 6 horses. But even he doesn't buy into his bullsiht..... |

By:
VeryLTU, what did you think of Gust Of Wind at only her 10th race start?

By:

what distracts us often are horses prices... ... yes I agree ... you have to have a price going in ... and stick with your thoughts the Melb Cup is a raffle, lottery & novelty though I've never really looked at the Cup any differently ![]() .. horses now shipping in from overseas with thier disjointed preps (inc Max) but todays lottery came up with a terrific result for a great gal ... (and an interesting trainer) the locals have reclaimed the Cup for one more year ... where was Aiden and his pacemakers ![]() well done Oz |
|
By:
1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters were :- 2 back, 3back and 4 back the fence, think the leader held on for 4th or 5th
the track is playing terrible again today |
|
By:
it was a dawdle nugget .. they ran home last 200m in 22-something ... nothing a chance from the ruck today
that's the lottery last time aiden had 3 he sent them all out on a cracker pace ... today no it is 3200m and a guessing game .. that's what makes it fun remember about 8 years ago Lee Freedman & others were all saying it was now a WFA race (or runner) run at hcp weights well today .. the handicapper came back in to its own right but next year .. will still be a lottery imo (regardless of whether a 5/1 fave or a 100/1 outsider wins it) stops a nation though ![]() |
|
By:
yeah, they went really slow, even if they went faster I doubt things could of come wide and made much ground with how the track is playing
first time it's been a "lottery" in recent times imo |
|
By:
Frankie got a month--and 20k fine--I posted he should have got 3--I guess 20k equals 2 months
![]() ![]() |
|
By:
fair enough yes
always 24 runners though protectionist ... dunaden .. americain .. green moon .... shocking there were 23 others in all those races ... doubt I've seen a non-lottery ... in that sense .. since Makybe Diva's last two ![]() |
|
By:
cheers whiskers .. might be a few more later
and nugget yes .. the track ![]() can't believe there were more than two jockeys that elected to try the outside rail in that very last straight race ![]() |
|
By:
Fiorente, Green Moon, Dunaden, Americain, Protectionist, Shocking, Viewed, Efficient, Delta Blues, Maybe Diva
Much easier than guessing the lotto numbers. The class horses have usually won in recent times |
|
By:
It becomes a lottery when only 5 or 6 horses have a realistic chance due to the track

Criterion or Max Dynamite should of won the race with the box seats they had. Just not good enough, although Dettori did butcher Max Dynamite but that's not unusual.
|
|
By:
Maybe the Stewards might have a look at infiltrating the Weir stables to get to the bottom of the big performance on cup day.
|
|
By:
they can't do that nugget ..... there are going to be too many vacant boxes in the coming weeks and those leases may not be filled.
THought Gust of Wind was terrific judge !!... next year even better ..... 6 year old wins it, that's 6 of the last ten cups for the 6yo![]() |

WD henty with the lay as for me could see that in the fisst four so went with you .
Good call on the irish runner but to be true the track bias imho played its part. The sccamble to te rail destroyed the event and one can apportion blame directly to the manager. Not distracting from your good win henry . Fair play An you called it. ![]() |

it's wonderful when you get a ... dim wit ... blindly stagger into a Forum ..
