In hindsight should have taken In Cahoots in there somewhere as the reason I backed it was down to the form around the Gosford Guineas when he came from way off my radar to be 3.50 fav for it, where In Cahoots ran second to it, who then ran 3rd to Sidestep and Bounding, beating it home which Chataqua then following up winning the Hawkesbury Guineas.  Didn't think it would be far away.

Oh well.  Hopefully it is a sign of things to come...  WinkWink

I remember being pissed off because I was paying to take mine interstate, for a race worth less than Hawkesbury Guineas, and they were going to scratch it because the ground was too heavy, even though they fcuked off away from a dead 4 track to run in it.  Figured he should have run at Hawkesbury on the dead track, close to home, worth more money against horses that it had beaten easily.  Chataqua beat him into second, then he turned it around next start and fcuked off to Queensland and avoided the race ffs.
All worked out in the end of course, but did know the form pretty good I guess is the point...  lol

Lets Elope --WD

The Call of the day goes to LETS Elope for this comment posted on another thread

"Fawkner flies at flemington and fresh generally, he is a brilliant miler and arguably should have won the Turnbull last year and is clearly better than Puissance who has never btn anything  of substance when winning and Dissident is the emerging lightly raced new kid on the block who may have just taken the next step and should be even better suited at Flemington. No bigger fan of boban than me but I don't think he's hit the line at either start this prep for mine and had a well below average autumn prep apart from the one race, I want to see him show that's he back before I take anything like those sort of odds about him."

I object to your spurious claim, AD.   Mischief

I've been calling Mike a dickhead for years Laugh

Henry, I did seek an explanation for the "limited" pic numbers from Moonee Valley...."time"Sad was his response.

It is only a hobby for him. Usually takes a couple of days for them to be uploaded.

Amongst his targets were an Apache Cat/ Looks Like The Cat montage...I suggested the latter's strapper may have piqued

his interestCool....he smiled. Happy

Well here's what I observed, fwiw, on a great day of racing. Cool

NB. I think the repeated course "security" announcements, something like (important message) "don't leave possessions

unattended" was over the top, politically correct? and cringeworthy.....imo....STOP IT!!!

Anyhoo....

Race 1

MORE RADIANT - not ready - forgive?

TOP DOLLY - MUCH better than when I saw her last prep but still improvement to come - went toooooo quick?

Race 3

Found the winner but he's no oil painting. Backed him pretty much by eliminating ALL others.

SIGNOFF and BIG MEMORY in particular looked really big to me....makes them very creditworthy runs .

Race 4

MERION looked well enough but CHIVALRY and ZEBULON both looked great and neither were completely wound up.

Race 5

C JEWEL looked markedly better...but I've seen her look better in the past...improvement there too.

BONARIA. Looking and racing really well. Looks like needs a mile now.

Race 6

GALAXY PEGASUS lovely horse.

L L THE CAT....nowhere near it's prime.....that's ominous.

CORNROW not racing to his looks...something not right there, methinks.

RICH ENUFF Love Wow, what a sort! he's my new Polanski Silly Don't think he's just a sprinter from the way he runs

through the line. Still learning....could be pretty special Mischief

Race 7

DISSIDENT https://www.facebook.com/696293623719661/photos/pcb.930061783676176/930059557009732/?type=1&theater

says it all that pic. Cool  Flying.

SPILLWAY and SERTORIUS both racing to their looks (well) and GREEN MOON looked well in an unsuitable? race.

TINS and other observers:

Dissident- I have been meaning to comment that  while he was in parade ring (on TV) I only had a quick look at him ...and thought he looked average....did I just see the wrong angle perhaps..??

I actually thought they all looked average actually with exception to Fawkner and PDL....who both looked average + (neither looked wow)

PDL did not look as tight as he did when paraded for Memsie Stakes..

Anyone else form an opinion of his looks while parading ....? or that of any runner like PDL or Fawkner......

Observations made at the time of parading please....

Cheers
