Anyone who backed Gazza for the top 5 must be filthy when he was swamped in the last round by everyone. I had him over 26.5 votes, looked a winner all night. Having said that I also had Mitchell over 25.5, looked a loser all night. Swings and roundabouts. Jobe a worthy winner.

Please don't make any more points, for the love of God.
Jobe won, he deserved to win. Our game isnt always about the absolute best and many great players have not one because they were not in winning teams. Jobe is the first player in a while to win from a team that didnt make the finals. I think that speaks volumes for how good he is. Nuff said! |

Not WON that should have read.

Knew what you were talking about snake, that's two though that little gazza has been robbed of, for fark sake he hasn't even finished second.
Umpires probably didn't even know who dangerfield was in the first half of the season, shouldn't have come as a surprise though the brownlow result given the standard of umpiring this season. There were a couple of players who polled well to keep an eye on for the future if they have big years next year as they will definitely have more "umpire" recognition. How you going now AD with the Hawks supposedly going to have been unbackable favourites, not only are they going to be backable, they're definitely vulnerable. |

If they gave it to the best player in the game Gazza would win it every year.
My last post in this thread. He was in a side that won 3 games and were belted from pillar to post and he still polled 3 votes in many of those games. I don't really know what you want them to do. I think they were more than fair to him. I knew the risks when I backed him. In hindsight it was a stupid bet. The odds were heavily stacked against him, and it has always been that way for a good reason. Paul Kelly won a Brownlow in a side that finished last (I think?) But that was before the medal was truly a midfielder's medal as it is today. Pies beat GC by 100 points, Swan or Pendles or Beams gets 35 touches and you want Gazza to get the 3? Just isn't going to happen much of the time and it happened more often that it would with any other player. Anyway, I am delighted Jobe won. Very likable and classy young man. A credit to his club and his name. |

Not saying he's not Snake just that yet again the Brownlow doesn't reflect the player who had the best season as I also said several weeks ago now and given it is the elite award just think that's wrong, betting tonight was only a bit of fun as would have loved to see ablett win as unbelievably he's elevated himself to another level again at the suns.
Suns might improve a bit next season if ablett kicking it lace out to tippett. |

Didnt watch the Count.
If Ablet Got 3 votes vs Pies its a Disgrace. He was playing for Pies that day. Anyway i got Mine. $500 on Watson Layed 2 points under. Then Layed again at Evens. Easy $480 Jumps in. Didnt watch it havent seen how Votes went. Lloydy |

had a grand on cotchin to be in the top 5 and he made it in the last round with 3 votes
Not one vote for cotchin in the first 6 rounds..imagine, even just one vote for each of those rounds and he would have won. |

Cotchin layers VERY quiet
Superstar in the making, dont risk him in the future lads...will win one |
