I have seen less interesting stories on shows like ACA or Today Tonight or similar.  I am sure punters able to bet with these corps may have some sort of an opinion on knowing the truth about the reported bets, and the fact that they weed out all punters to the biggest losers they can.
The whole process is discriminatory, and goes completely against the problem gambling rubbish that they promote on their site.  That is who they are targetting, and only them.  Offering credit to losing punters, and not touching anybody with a shred of intelligence.

We have to hear all the bullshit about problem gamblers and the problem it is to society, but the reality is the ratio will only go up, because these will soon be the only people allowed to bet anywhere.  Tatts even knocking back cash bettors in their outlets it seems.  A new T+C on the website all about their ability to restrict your turnover based on how much you win.

Get it out there that not all gamblers are degenerates with their children going hungry and their wives having to turn to prostitution to cover the debts created.

Get together as a group, from people barred who turnover 50 bucks a week, to those that turned over thousands.  Punters barred from 1 winning bet to the highrollers.

It is a good story to show a hugely succesful punter getting barred from betting with a company, but it is a great story to show that EVERY succesful punter no matter how small the profit will be banned for having an account in profit.

Organise it, hit it hard.  Any half assed sob story of a guy that had his account closed.  But somebody with a list of thousands of names of people that have had their accounts closed will show the reality of the situation.
ACA or Today Tonight would be my suggestion, of course if done right.

That 10/1 shot hit (was St Kilda to lead, Port to win HT/FT double). Looks like they saved themselves some money Plain

I had to take 9.25/1 on Bettie. Now I hate them even more.

The $100 was a further $100. I had already bet. When I asked for another $100 they knocked me backed.
I know I bent the truth a little. Don't let the truth get in the way of good story Excited Plain

Anyway, I had better lay low for a while. They'll almost certainly trim my limit to 1k exposure now.

If you are implying that I think I'm simply the best, that isn't the purpose of that post. We all hate them and I wanted to show that they can still be hit.

Tis ok, Dos. I'll only post the losing bets from now on. In truth I posted that with a little bit of reluctance. I really don't need them knowing who I am.

There wouldn't be too many people named Crazy Snake on their books. I think they may already know who you are Cool
By:
CrazySnake
When: 03 Apr 12 05:24
I am not Crazy Snake on their books. I am something entirely different.
Look, the point is they WILL take a bet, but only on things they want to lay heavily. They allow me to continue because I hit the things they want to lay. I am not trying to big-note here. Just trying to make the point that they will not lay you unless it's on their terms. In other words, if your betting patterns suggest you are a numpty, even if you are in profit overall, they will allow you to continue, as I have with them since 2002.

We're good, Dos. Some people might have thought that was my intent, but it really isn't.

Doesn't take much to filter out people that placed that stake on that result though does it.  Hmmm
By:

When: 09 Apr 12 04:00
Sportsbet currently has Eagles at 10 for the flag with everyone else at 8 and Betfair 8.8 to lay.
I took $500 and the price didn't move. Have at it!

We knew Sportsbet were a bunch of scumbag Irish sharks, but this one takes the cake.

West Coast Eagles price against GWS = 1.0

They take bets allowing the punter to risk for 0 gain. That should be illegal IMHO. But regardless, that is the most cynical thing I have ever seen from a bookmaker.

Tab isn't even offering a market - first time it's happening apparently
By:
CrazySnake
When: 11 Apr 12 03:49
That, at least has a skeric of integrity about it. But to offer a market you know achieves nothing while taking all profit on the opposing option is just pathetic. Ever since Matt Tripp offloaded to the Irish it's been appalling. I would boycott them, but every now and again I hit 'em and it gives me pleasure to hurt their pockets.

NRL Footy show last night Centrebet offered a "special" price of $21 on Bryce Gibbs scoring a try....Maximum bet of a whopping $20.
This is a bloke who hasn't scored a try since 2005.
WTF has happened to bookmaking in this country?

Whoopi - I saw that, he said he hasn't scored a try for 120 weeks, should be 120/1

Saw the other "special offer" $11 about Marshall / Ryan scoring a try against the Eels and thought it was pretty good until I saw it was Marshall AND Ryan CrazyCrazyCrazy

Apparantly they are pretty weak taking bets on sports now too, or so the guy on the phone told me when he said no more bets for you....   Hmmmm  Won't take my racing bets, greyhound, harness, or sports.  What else do they offer for me?  Waste of space.

I know a bloke who couln't bet on the Melbourne cup with Sportsbet in MAY

He couldn't bet in the top 10 at the Golf.

they just wouldn't bet him on anything.

They must have thought he was freaking genius, with a finger and an advantage in every pie.

PRETENDERS THE LOT OF THEM

Cadissa...You,re right about the English betting shops.I went to Betfred and was losing 60 pound in 3 bets and decided to have 80 pound on an 1/1 greyhound. They refused the bet as it was too big.I was then hopeing the dog was knocked over, which it was,and went to the window and gave the operator a blast which would have won an Academy Award.

My mate is winning plenty on English races and wanted 100 pound on a horse and was bet just over 3 pound.

I don,t bet with any Aussie corporates who wont take a decent bet.Closed 3 accounts last week.
